i didn't like it either at first, but i've gotten used to using RS. in previous years you could just tap the left stick back for a step back, and that was nice. i'm not sure why they got rid of that. i think their thinking was that they wanted ALL dribble moves to be tied exclusively to the right stick, whereas before you could still do some moves with both the left stick and right stick (you used to be able to perform step backs and spin moves with the left stick). i think they wanted to avoid confusion from having multiple ways to perform the same moves, so they just moved everything to the right stick to simplify it.

An area that hasnt improved in 3-4 years are the stats. They are looking pretty stale now.
Look at the NBA stats page.
I'd love to see stats like spot up shooting %, off the dribble shooting, shooting % on post ups and which players are best at defending around the rim.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
Right Stick defense should be exclusive hands up and using the right/left movement of the stick with arms to maybe block the pass attempt. Right now if you press with the right stick you have a bit of movement on its own.
Actually Right Stick needs to be looked at...it's time for it to evolve somewhat....Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
While moving TAP the square button(PS3), x button(Xbox) and move the left thumb stick away from the basket. That will give you the step back animation. Once you get the animation use the right thumb stick to take the shot. You can also push left/right on the left thumb stick to sidestep to the left/right and then take your shot. The square button (PS3), x button (Xbox) is the hop gather button. Be sure to HOLD the left thumb stick in a certain direction or you will just hop.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
Can we also go back to the old way of actually being able to choose what kind of dunk we're gonna perform? Because the game is incredibly stupid at choosing for me.
I have LeBron right behind me on a fast break. I RT+Forward Right Stick, and what do I do? A freaking Tomahawk, which of course gets blocked. Now if I was able to choose my dunks, I would've gone with a safe 2 handed dunk or a 1 handed dunk where I put my hand in front of me. But since I can't choose, it's a cheesy block for the defender.Comment

Can we also go back to the old way of shooting? Shooting in 2K15 is a POS. Players like Jennings and Josh Smith burning me with contested 3s while I can't make any.
I swear, it feels like me and the AI are playing by different rules.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
Also, I think the rating system needs to be overhauled.
99 rating in a certain area should mean that if you're free, you should make 99% of your shots from that range.
If you're thinking it's impossible, you're wrong: http://www.mevsmj.com/2011/04/hoopin...tball-shooter/
This dude makes anywhere between 92-99% of his shots during his lectures. He speaks while shooting. He has that kind of FG% taking over 30,000 shots.
Of course, this'll mean revamping the whole system, but I think it'll really help. Right now, the number doesn't actually tell me anything about my player. It doesn't tell me what kind of chance I'll have with him.Comment

Get rid on all canimations especially the 2 man ones and remove all premeditated/scripted elements of the game and let the user have total control of the game and All outcomes/scenarios.Dallas Mavericks ● Dallas Cowboys ● Texas Rangers ● Dallas Stars

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
I would like to see the ability to edit created/drafted players looks during a franchise. I added a guy of Arab decent in a draft class and started him out with a full beard and long hair but was going to clean him up as the years progressed and he became a well known NBA player by giving hm a shave and hair cut.
Also 3 team trades.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
potential rating changes
make a high end potential, low end potential and expected potential. for example wiggins could be anywhere from 83-99 with expected around 92 or so.
maybe a guy like perry jones coming into the league at least has a floor of 71 but potential of 89 but is expected around 82. that way you can make it more realistic for guys who in real life you have no idea what youre gonna get from them, and it all depends on playing time, role with team, attitude, work ethic and coaches.
players could even possibly surpass their potential, (look at kyle lowry, who in the world expected that guy to turn into what he is today? i remember the raptors were trashed by the media after trading their first rounder for him)
or players could fall short, which would almost always be due to repeated injuries.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
also with trade value, there should be a leaguewide value, team value, and management value.
leaguewide would be how the whole league views that player
team value should be how he fits in with current roster based on depth of position and skills brought to the team that would be tough to replace
management value or whatever you call this would be how the team views their own player. maybe a team like the celtics for example thinks rajon rondo is way better than he really is and doesnt want to give him up for fair value at first.
as the season progresses and you get near the trade deadline then the team maybe drops his value way below what it should be just so they can get him out.
would make things interesting and also help with realistic trades from tanking teams.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
one more thing, would be nice if you had editable team ratings, gm ratings and coach ratings. please make it so we can edit GM appearances names and personalities for our own systems or get the rights to those gms real personas.
also have coaches have individual goals and be able to be swayed by gm to tank or have hard headed coaches who refuse the tank job. would be nice to have 20-30 different character trait/personality type things for players and coaches and gms to really have to blend a team together.Comment
