first and foremost. some of you guys have great ideas, you just use too many words and im pretty sure it gets overlooked

as far as the wishlist concerns.. mine mostly are online. probly said before so bear with me

-bring back the lobbies and ranking system

-ability to view your own vip scouting report

I know u can view your record..i'd like to know about my gaming style

-please remove the shot meter by default

I don't mind knowing how fast or slow i'm shooting. I just find myself staring at the bottom of my players feet as opposed to the highest point of my jumpshot which is all that should matter

-lag.

I understand someone having a bad connection. but the server should always match up with the best connection first and then level of play/rank next.

-please fix passing.

THE LOB PASS AND ALLEY OOP PASS SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENT BUTTONS. I cant stress how many times I want to lob the ball in over the defense and either I throw the ball out of bounds or it's stolen.

-fix in paint layups/putbacks.

I understand good defense but there are way too many missed layups. even the highest rated inside players miss simple layups just because someone presses up on the right stick.

-fix post game system

its not the moves, its the ratio at which the shots go in. every post shot in the paint winds up all red because it is contested which is the biggest problem with it. rating should determine whether the shot goes in along with the release point.

-double teams

you should be able to chin up and step through to make a pass or call a timeout. too many times it gets stuck in the jumpball animation or the user throws the ball into the stands (happens maybe once a game in the nba shouldn't be as frequent)

Interactive Season. You simply play the games and see how you stack up against real life. Everything follows the NBA perfectly and when it's game night for your team then you play as well with the exact lineup. Virtually NBA today put into a MyLeague minus team control. This would be more of a "side" mode. You wouldn't dive in and get lost like some of us do with MyLeague, MyGM or MyPlayer. You would just play (full 12 min quarters) every few days and enjoy following your favorite team.

my top 5:


1) sportscenter highlights
2) make myPark less cheesy
3) mo-cap our own signature moves, jump shot
4) let us shootaround while waiting for a myPark game. Maybe we could call next and our "ghost" player would hold the spot? Something like that. I'm sure there's some workaround that can let us call next + shoot around at the same time. Maybe like a sign-up list? like at gyms
5) keep pushing the Signature look. layups shots moves dribbles passes post etc etc etc. more more more signature enhances the game, makes it more real to the NBA

bonus: keep pushing CUSTOMIZATION. there can never be too much customization for players, for styles, for jerseys, for crews, etc . more options, more selection, socks, multiple colors, multiple styles etc etc for everything that has to do with creating and customizing your my player.

Local File Saving

2K Support has emailed me:

Unfortunately, the only explanation I can provide you about this issue is that your myleague save file got corrupted.
At this point, the only option left would be to start a new myleague from scratches.

I have now lost my second multi year MyLeague file due to apparent file corruption that occurred during the process of advancing from the off season to the next league year. I've just completed a ticket process with 2k and they tell me there is nothing they can do.

I'm done now. I'm not going to start another MyLeague, the only mode I play, just to advance through several years of building up a team and lose the file because there is no way to restore from a backup snapshot, stored either locally or in 2K's server environment.

I assume 2K does not want to pay the storage costs for players to store backups on 2k server infrastructure but the decision not to allow local file saves designs the system for a single point of failure.

2K knows this, but has decided to disregard the game buyer's reasonable need to be able to use and play the game reliably. We've already purchased expensive console hardware with storage capacity, but 2K won't let us use it.

Not good enough. Next year's game has to allow for local storage or some other game file restoration capability.

Can we get some more realisim on the inbounds like say if john wall is the point guard and he's under the basket right next to it can't he just inbound it to anyone and then have them hand it right back to him once he gets in bounds? Would make things much smoother imo

How about a change in controls?

2k as for now distinguishes shots/layups vs. dunks (by holding sprint). It should actually be shots vs. layups/dunks.

There are 2 problems with the current version. First, you wanna drive past a defender coming full speed and he just pulls up for a shot. Second when the athletic players have a path they always go for a dunk which don't fit the context of the play 90% of times. You barely see driving layup animations which is a shame because that should be the focus of a sim bball game.

I play on sim w/ adjusted sliders off OS so I'm trying to milk every sim% possible. And I'm just sick of releasing R2 on a drive to force Curry(!) into a layup.

Right stick without R2 = shot/push shots/runner (if close to the basket)

Right stick + R2 = layups and dunks


Please 2k, make it happen.

Ability to have and expansion team. I asked every year. Probably not going to happen. I would love to comes in the league like the Bobcats and work extremly hard to out a good team together.

I really want create a team back. This time with they ability to put the team name or city across the jersey. If they really want to make me happy, let us use our created team in mycareer.

One minor thing that bugs me, visually-wise, is when defenders are standing around (meaning, not on-ball...but when the guy they're guarding-off ball-isn't moving around), they stand in this silly crouched position. Like they're sitting on a saddle or something. They should be standing straight up in those situations. I think it's been this way in 2k for quite some time now.

Definitely need a better, "robust " CAP system. It should be thousands of options for hair...tattoos(sleeves ) and faces...once again most players end up looking the same, the more options the better imo

Court, jersey and team creator.

I want to see more fluid jumpshots, there's plenty of jumpers that has weird hitches in them, looks like the players are double pumping. Speaking of jumpers, most of them don't look right...might be time to overhaul this...

I want to see more emotion, more high fives....towel waving on the bench...give the players a little more life, remember the LeBron nail biting?

Another thing that would be nice is to have the play by play guys break down replays...and replys should be on timeouts and end of quarters etc.

All players should have sig acessories and shoes if they wear any, like d rose ankle braces.

A definite yes to these ideas. I would love to see 2k bring back the court creator ala 2k8 college hoops.

*More circus shots, double clutch layups ala 2k11 - those things were a thing of beauty.

*Better attention to aesthetics for the classic teams - hairstyles, faces and jerseys were HORRENDOUS.

*Ability to select shorts length.

*More or new classic teams - less focus on Euro ball.

*Halftime show with game highlights.

*Change of rules for era specific games.

*Greatest playoffs mode - collection of superstars and the ability to relive their most greatest post season moments.

*Authentic retro arena sounds, ala 2k12 - right now there are no arena sounds specific to classic teams. This was amazing in 2k12, please bring it back.

*Ability to add custom sounds again.

*My last guilty pleasure.........bring back MJ's one handed ball fake!!!

I'll start with a minor thing but it's something I've been wanting to be in the game for a long time... Ability to make any broadcast stadium camera your default one.
