the players attributes need to be edited. the foul tendencies and fouls are too low. I remember they had this issue back in 09 or 10.

anyways it needs to be patched cause i dont want to have to edit every player just to get fouls

Agree that contact doesn't translate into enough fouls.


As I posted in another thread, the game is currently well balanced and very fun (by no means perfect, but the best sports game I have played).


The responsiveness of contesting shots (triangle or Y button) in the paint needs to be improved, but that could unbalance defence in the users favour. However if that was also combined with more fouls, as is suggested here, then I think the game could be improved without making it too easy for the user to defend.

Fouls is a major issue. I see fouls every game that the ref's should be calling and i get to the line about 10 times a game. The most ive ever been to the line is 20.
Ive tweeted Ronny, Mike Wang even Beds but had zero back from them.
Im guessing the best way will be to manually fix it by editing rosters like every other 2k game ive ever played.

Every year there is something that is broken and cant be fixed with sliders. Somethings cant be fixed with tendencies either so im hoping this aint one of em.

I couldn't do it man. The adjustment of every players Draw foul, Drive to the basket aggressively, and foul tendency is just too much to do man.

Yea it's a pain in the a** and I've done it and there still is not enough calls lol. I think its hard coded man, I've tried just about every scenario possible (maybe) but it's still no way to get a game in where both teams shoot at least 30 free throws. Now I know it's just a video game but I mean if we edit the sliders and rosters to produce more fouls, it should be ALot of fouls.

Yeah, I hope with the patch and max slider settings we see teams shoot at least 35 -40, that way we can lower the slider after a few games as we see fit. There's been a lot of free throws this year. Like, a whole lot. It's probably going to go on all year too. There are teams that just drive and attack now because it's effective and plays to their strengths (quickness and athleticism) and, it gets points on the board one way or the other. If your team doesn't have the best team ball and jump shooters, most coaches are going to tell said team to get to the line off of pick and rolls, post ups or iso's against weaker/slower defenders.

I was born in 79, and there is too many no calls. At least I have started seeing some charges called now.

To be fair, 2K in past threads and public statements, have gone on record saying that this year the game would be very realistic (I quoted you and said it was a bold claim) and things like servers would be working properly and/or fixed. Teams averaging 12 or so free throws a game isn't realistic. I'll refrain from server discussion since this thread isn't about that.

Like I said - we brought fouls up with team and they'll get adjusted. We're always tracking feedback on here and elsewhere.

Very appreciated. We're just discussing your product, sir! Sure, we complain, but we love it. We know that with you guys being involved post release, some user tweaks and some patches it'll be much more enjoyable and realistic.
