I'm 5'10" and doing my real height in game as a SG and it was rough at first (in 14 I made 6'7" SF) but I've gotten it down and it's pretty fun. I'm much more of a jump shooter this year but I still get my dunks on fast breaks and can drive the lane for the occasional lay up. It would be supremely helpful if my AI teammates could make there shots inside though, or even put up a fight on defense. There are so many bad rotations that put me at even more of a disadvantage than I already am.
in MyCareer, Do you play as your actual Height? why or why not?

It's funny...In Madden I usually go by my height. But in basketball I usually play as a small big man (in the form of a Z-Bo). Because that's usually how I play in real life. I'm 6-1... Kind of tired of seeing all these guard type heavy sqauds. I like playing as the traditionally big men. Even if I don't end up with a lot of points (because guards don't get me the ball). I love getting rebounds and finishing strong in the lane.
edit: If I do play guard. It's usually at 6-1 as a point guard or under sized SG. Think in the form of Eric Bledsoe.Last edited by jeebs9; 10-24-2014, 10:05 AM.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

I really don't think this is even possible, but I think I'd like the notion of playing a "sim" park, where players agreed to play at their real height and weight. Unfortunately, I do not think it'd ever work because 1) There's no way to confirm real height and weights, 2) guys who really do stand at 6'9'' may hold an advantage because... 3) There'd be no cap on attributes.Comment

I'm 6'3" but I make MyPlayer 6'4".
I'm surprised to hear people not liking playing the PG role. I couldn't play anything but PG. I like controlling the pace of the game and playing on the ball.Originally posted by Mighty MosMy restlessness is my nemesis, it's hard 2 really chill and sit still

I'm 5 ft 3 350 lbs. this doesn't work so well on nba 2k15
j/k
I look at it like this -- when you play at your local basketball court, usually you aren't surrounded by 6'8 giants. heights range from like 5'8 - 6'4 I'd say. So I look at it that way. 5'10 is avg. at your local park, so relative to the avg NBA height, that'd be like what 6'5 6'6? something like that.Comment

Why would it be so important to play at your real height when you are not playing with your real skills?Chicago Bulls

Re: in MyCareer, Do you play as your actual Height? why or why not?
Often, I'd carve my player out to excel in similar attributes as my real life self. The fantasy, of course, is that I'd refined those skills well enough to find myself on the verge of the NBA. Some of my favorite MyPlayer moments have been early on when I excel mostly in the same categories as I do in reality. I still remember my first career dunk in 2K10's MyPlayer.Comment

Re: in MyCareer, Do you play as your actual Height? why or why not?
Nope, every year I try a new position and work on that positions skill sets. Each MyPlayer I create that year is modeled after a former player I used to watch when I grew up or someone that is playing well that I think could play better. 2 years ago I was a Dwight Howard - C. Last year I was NeNe - PF. This year I'm Reggie Miller - SG. Before I was an Allen Iverson - PG/ SG.
I try to avoid height, weight, stats like Jordan, Magic, Lebron. I just want to use someone unconventional.
I'm 6'4" and don't really enjoy playing as a true PG.Comment

I made my guy 5'9" spontaneously, knowing damn well that I'm taller than that with basketball shoes on.They got the big fella down there inside, and if you slow the game down a lot he'll get into position. You know he gone bang you all night.-Ben Wallace on Shaquille O'Neal at halftime, game 5 of the 2004 NBA Finals. Hope nobody takes this out of context...Comment

Lots of people aren't built to play anything but PG. I am 6'4', which helps because I can play my jump shooting SG but I always like making a PF or each year because that's basically what I do when I play pick up ball.Comment
