When should you use the Intense defense? I noticed you have more control if you use it in spurts.

You're not going to stop those player they will bounce off you and cross you over.force them to places on the court.
And for the slow input watch how your man set his feet on denfence. flow with your feet like a boxers.

When I'm "Locked in", I use it in bursts. I try to tap it right when the bump animation occurs so it takes me into a contact animation. The hardest thing to get used to is not holding it down
There was A guy who offered the tip of never holding intense D while turbo and vice versa. Good tip, but hard to execute.

Right now it doesn't matter. Behind the back 14 is unguardable. I played the best D of my life against a guy on my friends list, but 3 or 4 behind the back animations need to have contextual contact added to them. They glide through you. I'm not going to say it's cheese, but It is almost indefensible. A bump animation would help greatly here

Sorry man but I can not handle defense with the right stick. Every time I hold it trying to stop my opponent my player put his hand up and slows down letting him go easily. Also defending the post Right stick seems to have no effect, they continue to score even with my hands right in their faces. I don't see any bump or contact animation. Need tips for what i'm doing wrong

Its not going to stop (putting hands up) people everytime. Relate all of this to the real NBA and even in real life guys still make contested shots. You cant go into this with the mindset that you are going to stop everything. All of these tips are for minimizing what the offense does. Guys will still get open and score but maybe you will make a few big plays and keep the game close. You aren't doing anything wrong.

If the person you are guarding is just waiting to pass the ball stand your ground use the right stick to deflect the ball.
Never use for on ball defense you will never keep up.

I like to use it when you have them pinned down with the shot clock runnin down 0.or when you want to double team the post man use the right stick hands high.
Stand your ground don't chase they will blow right by you.

I dont think shading is in this year. Which is weird since they added the force baseline and middle strategy on defense.
