Same here as well. I always hate restarting Franchise modes, once I get going I want to continue, and usually when I do start over I start to lose interest, since Im having to replay what I had already did.

Nice of them to put out a patch this late that included us people that only play offline career modes like My League. Normally if they put out a patch this late its only for the online portion of the game.

I'm sure you probably already deleted the save, but if there's any way you could check to see if he was indeed injured before his -3 overall drop then that would be great.

The rest of the drops on that screenshot seemed fine. They're all getting old and losing ability in real life anyway.

I would be very interested in any more information people have on the tuning of regression after the patch. Started my MyLeague literally a day before the patch came out, so I am thinking of going back. Would be really nice if we had patch notes, but I guess the community can figure this out on their own!

No...his wording didn't exactly confirm that. Read Lorenzo's post above. It's semantics of course, but I would still like to see the patch notes to confirm it (or have it stated outright).

Read Lorenzo's post like bcruise, said all Leftos has said is that you need to start for the TUNINGS to work. That doesn't mean they fixed it. It could just mean that reduced it by a margin we can't notice.

TBH, I took it to mean as they probably DID tweak something, but Leftos doesn't want to officially confirm it until patch notes are out.

And honestly, they just announced yesterday that this patch was submitted to 1P, so they may have been blindsided by how fast it went and may not have had the notes all drawn up (In a form where non-devs could actually understand it).

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing

Hi all. This is my first post, so please excuse me if this has been covered before or isn't the most appropriate place to put this.

I've been thinking about how reliant sports games are on the "overall" rating of players. It might be the most unrealistic aspect of sports games and one that needs tweaking the most.

What I've been thinking about is a different system altogether where you would instead get a range instead of a definite number in regards to "overall" ratings. For example, a draft prospect with boom or bust potential would show something like a "60-85" in the "overall" category, where a veteran (or different draft prospect) with a lower ceiling and higher floor might look more like "70-75".

Each year, the number becomes clearer and your scout's abilities would also help to hone in on the exact overall number. The range would also change based on injuries and development you've put into the player.

I think this would make for a better experience since in real life you don't truly know how good a player will be or is.

Why would you assume This was not a new My league? Why the hell would I post a picture from an old My League? I started it this morning.

As someone who has done a fair share of testing for regression, I just simmed a season and though they weren't perfect they were pretty nice! Still a few strange ones like Beverley regressing by 2 even though he had a good season with no injuries. The likes of Zac Randolph and Marc Gasol both improved by 1 which is a first for me without editing. It seems they have eased it a bit which is nice to see. There were still a few big shifters and Injury related regression like Mario Chalmers got injured against me and it was serious, he regressed by 4.

I had injuries off at the start just to say but all in all I'm very happy with the update. Give it a try guys, just sim a season. Doesn't take more than 20 minutes and see what you think for yourself

You guys are arguing semantics? Really?

It is 100% true that their was an adjustment made to the regression system. That much is clear by our testing and by Leftos' comment.

Saying 'fixed' is subjective. For me the new tweaks work and have made the mode enjoyable.

Yes regressing will still happen, but it's tweaked..for example before the patch Knicks Aka melo speed rating @90 would drop to (70+) from 90 -70 huge regressing.

After patch#4 melo speed rating dropping 90-88 Wow that's great I'm loving the tweaking.

But still remember watch out for injuries it can take a huge regressing if happen.

Yep..this made me trade my lottery pick and Rondo for Reggie Jackson. Bcoz Rondo had back issues and dropped by 5.

That's what keeps it interesting and real.

Look at my Nets. We had a contender if it weren't for injuries to Lopez, D-Will and the regression of G-Wallace, followed by regressions of Paul Pierce and KG.

                                Regressions are important.

D-Wade's regression helped spur Lebron's departure from Miami. Do guys think players just get injured and come back just as good as they were pre injury?

                                I'm happy with the tweaks
