Well, I guess maybe all the silence says it all then. Guess this won't be fixed. Not sure how no one at 2K can see this as something not worthy of being fixed though since it pretty much derails MyLeague after three seasons smh

Also, do you players from draft classes regress at age 28 as well?

Wow... Starting to wonder if playing that mode is even worth it... I don't really wanna spend hours editing ever player every year over the age of 28...

Is there somewhere in this thread that outlines the best way to edit efficiently and how to know what to increase at seasons end?

The regression is fast and swift.

Does this affect both myleague and myGm or just myleague?

This is my thing with 2k the last few years, just a lack of effort all across the board. Whether it be last years 1 year franchise mode, or years past with their Broken Franchise mode they don't care about what we the fans have to say.

It's either A) They tested the game, realized it was broken and released it anyway.

or B) They didn't even test for Franchise mode issues in which they have EVERY YEAR(Need I bring up the stupid finals home court advantage glitch where the team with the highest record never gets HCA in the finals) and they released it anyway. Either way it's unfair to us fans who have to spend money every year for a broken product.

Exactly the right words to describe it.

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing

Been talking with vtcrb and dropped the knowledge on me that there is definitely a difference with the way the game reads players that have their years pro set at 1.

So I decided to do some testing. A lot of testing actually and I have found a temporary fix. While it is still "work" it isn't as much work as manually editing every player or as tedious as changing the "year born" of certain players.

Immediately after the playoffs end (when the game gives you the option to do the draft lottery) go and change the "years pro" of players over 28 years old to 1. When this is done, some player regression still takes place but not nearly as rapid and ridiculous as it does naturally. What happens is that older players in their 30s still occasionally lose 1- 3 points and players 28 and 29 rarely lose any overall points at all.

                            THE GOOD:
Obviously, the good here is that you can get rid of the outrageous pattern of regression in as little as 15 minutes each season. It allows teams to still have players on their team in their 30s which is obviously more realistic that what we have right now.

                            THE BAD:
Although it doesnt eliminate the career stats of that player on their player card, moving into the following year, the game continues to recognize that player as a rookie. Because of that you won't truly have an accurate rookie of the year or all rookie team going forward. Of course you can take the extra time to change everyone back if you have the time or simply let it go if it doesnt bother you that much.

I can post here because I am on my phone but if someone wants me to send them the pictures from my phone, send me your email and I will send you the pictures so I can show you what I mean.

How much of a difference would it make setting them at 2 years pro instead of 1 year?

With years pro at 2 the game continues to regress those players at the same 4 - 6 point rate that we have discussed. One year pro is the only one that works unfortunately.
