A hero walks among us. Know this, 2K came in clutch with this fix.

Yeah after all the hate you guys got I have to say 2k is still my favourite developer and NBA 2k my favourite game because you guys listen to the community and fix things 6 months after release / 6 months before the new release.

Definitely years ahead in the way you treat your customers compared to EA!

I'm guessing it was that they toned down regression because that was a major issue that we had no control over. Whereas we could tune progression before the patch through the slider.

Just to followup. Very pleased with new regression. No major issues. Maybe a bit more regression for guys who suffer an injury (and not always a major injury either) than I'd like, but I also see those guys then go back up the following years (like Paul George for example, down 2 overall, then back up 2, then 2 more). Seeing most regression for non-injury guys on players 30 and older, which is perfect. Couple guys slightly younger that rely on quickness get dinged, Rondo being the prime example in both my sims.

Only other issue I would personally have is I hate, hate hate seeing guys lose basketball IQ in their 30s. Players don't tend to get dumber. No reason I should see Mike Miller, Jose Calderon, and Manu Ginobili for example losing points on shot IQ. Physical skills? Absolutely. But IQ? Naah, not realistic.

Great job overall though and nice to see 2k respond so late in the game cycle for an issue that hits us hardcore sim realists.

If you give me specific players, attributes (not attribute categories) and ages I can look more into it and improving for the future.

Glad to see the regression is fixed and this mode can properly be played in a mid-long term basis. I might try to make a MyLeague or MyGm since MyCareer has already worn out for me a bit after playing so many games.

Anyway, it's nice to see 2ks guys come here, get feedback and try their best to fix all the problems that the game may have. It doesn't always turns out the best it could, but showing interest on what players have to say and trying to fix it is praiseworthy

True. This was a big issue for me and one I honestly thought would be ignored. Props to the 2k team for continuing to support their product.

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing

I didn't start my MyLeague over after the patch because I was too invested in it. I did make these changes suggested below:

In my second off-season Kobe regressed to 79(being 83 without training, and 85 midseason bcoz of trainings and 82 at the end bcoz of fatigue) and is now rocking his 21st season. He was 85 in first season.

As far as I'm aware progression only impacts off-seaon so that should not be a problem. Raise it to 43/44 before first off-season and reset back to 42 after first off-season.

As I always mentioned, this works best with SimWorld sliders(I'm still playing on latest december update, have to update to latest).
However, my question is once I hit the offseason is there a place to see regression and how much players regressed by? I don't mind if someone older regressed a little in certain areas, however if I do see something I don't like I would like to edit it....

There's a progression phase during in the offseason. Unless regression takes place sometime later than that, you can also see who's gotten worse.

Yeah, I just got there last night. My league is at a standstill now because of regression. Although, it isn't too bad, I guess. I plan on throwing together a quick spreadsheet tonight and editing some guys who took big hits. I'm not sure if I use some sort of method or just go by what I feel. Nevertheless, I don't plan on spending more than an hour or two on editing before moving on.

If a player regressed too much but didn't suffer any major injury (like he played 70+ games) he shouldn't regress too much. If a playe had big injury he should regress.

I didn't really have much time to look over everyone, but I noticed some Madden type speed/quickness regressions where players lost 10+ points. Those are the ones that I want to at least bring up a little bit.

But if a player tore his achilles or sth like that he should lose it. Kobe's athleticism his last healthy season (the achilles tear season) was slightly above average. After that he couldn't keep up with most of the opponents. It's realistic. Only couple guys like Westbrook seem to not lose athleticism after major injuries. Tim Duncan was athletic beast and then got injured and became what we now know as Mr.Fundamental. It's realistic. You can re-do a couple of guys but don't do it on all of them.
