I just don't understand how jumpers have a c quality if a guy is off you but open the best I can get is a b-

All the find the open man and ball movement talk would matter if that made a difference. I'm on Superstar/Sim with the Pistons pounding the post with Drummond and Monroe forcing double teams and kicking out to KCP (83), Jodie Meeks (88), and Kyle Singled (87) from 3 missing WIDE open 3s while Tony Wroten, Courtney Lee, and Vince Carter hitting fade aways and 3 pts at the end of the shot clock with defenders all in thier face.... And even Monroe And Drummond miss shots completely at the rim... While the CPU gets and 1 after and 1... If you guys don't see a problem with that.. Then idk... I understand its a video game and all..but while I LOVE this game.. It makes it frustrating and un-enjoyable..

Even From my hotspots at the rec releases are B+. I play HOF sim and hit more shots offline than I do online. If HOF means don't take open shots im not BS'n you I literally can go 0-4 or , 1-6 on open jumpers at the rec center. I adjusted and don't take as much but I would like to feel like I have 95 shooting

Last game i played was with the warriors, i went 11/26 from deep.

Id really be interested in actual stats from multiple games from those who are having difficulties.

Maybe this has been asked already somewhere.. But what jump shot and release timing has anyone been having success with online? (Park, Rec)

I don't know if it's just me but my player is as good as you can make a point guard in this game but my shooting percentage is worse now than it was when I played with my big (who I didn't dunk too often with). Meanwhile I see dudes all the time who are consistently hitting their 3's and their players are mediocre at best.

For me, I've been having success with Chris Bosh's shot on quick on the Park. I don't make every wide open shot, in fact I've missed 3 in a row (yellow bar ON the line all 3 times) off rebound kick outs just a few minutes ago, but for the most part I've changed up my game. I would normally take around 6-7 jumpers a game, and around 4-5 drives to the basket, and usually finish a game 4-11 or 3-12. Now I don't shoot half that much, and just wait until the score reaches 10 to start shooting, so my Closer badge gives me some help. Now I finish games with 2-3 shots made...all of taken after 10 team points. I don't get as frustrated playing that way.

What is the point of bots in forums? What do they gain?

I am playing in 3 different online leagues. They run at Simulation Superstar Settings. And I have to say it actually is really hard to hit shots now.
I've always been around 35-40% which I think is quite solide or sometimes even pretty good from outside. Now I don't hit more than 2 to 3 shots in a game, no matter how much open shots I take (and believe me...I'm not the player to put up contested shots).

And it's not only me. Nearly every person in this 3 different leagues is complaining about shots not going in since the patch. You really think 50+ people are all jacking up bad shots?

Idk I can't really tell a difference cause I was bricking like crazy with my 92 overall SG before the patch and I'm still bricking so it feels the same to me. Defense is a lot better though. I can actually use m PF on the Park. I had gave up on him before the patch and created a 7ft SF but now I'm gonna finishing maxing out my PF since defense is better.

The issue that has plagued 2K basketball since its inception was high field goal percentages. They finally fix it with this patch and people still aren't happy?

If you watch any typical NBA game, players miss wide open shots all the time. Once they get into a rhythm, though, they can't miss.

For you guys having trouble shooting, are you working to get your players into a rhythm (which is a feature on the game), or are you just jacking up shots expecting to hit them all?

NBA player do miss open shots but they don't constantly miss open shots. Anyway take offensive consistency from 50 to 51 for user and cpu. I play on sim HOF This feels right for me. This want help you online makes for great game offline.
you will still have to take good shots. Overall you will make a lot more wide open shots.

I'm not jacking . I start off by going to the basket . Then my guy sags off and leaves me open . I'll take B+ shots because I rarely get perfect and those just brick all the time . This is at the rec by the way . At least pre-patch I could hit my midrange. I can't hit any midrange pull-ups. For B+ grade shots they never go in . I don't get A- anymore. And this is with 95 shooting . I'm all for lowered percentage especially if it lowered contested shots as well. It seen to only lower open shots though. 40% shooting on open shots I'm good. But I'm shooting lower than 30% on open shots (midrange and threes)


Crazy thing is as long as there is a guy running late to close out I hit it. Wide open I brick

in mycareer shooting release I've got is easier than before. Had some very high fg% games.
But on full team control modes its hell now, especially online. I really feel like playing 'shooting bar' meta game too much trying to hit good looks. Playing online vs hardcore cheesers is much harder now, every1 swarms the paint knowing its hard to hit j's consistently and its like dice roll because at times nothing with no one falls in.
