This game is outfreakingstanding post patch.

I just beat the Grizz in a classic. Check out how the AI attacked me down low with Zebo and Gasol.

Overall I'm very pleased with this product. It has an overall organic feel to the game this year which I really enjoy. Played a very fun game with Orlando @ New Orleans. I was the Magic and lost 101-99 but they controlled the game from start to finish.

I was on AS Sim and I wanted the CPU to really feed Anthony Davis more. He had a great game with 22 & 15 but he was only 9/12 from the field. I never doubled and he could've had 30+ pretty easily. They chucked too many shots around the perimeter for the amount of success they were having inside.

Fouls are awesome. I play with slightly tweaked sliders, 9-min, superstar. Almost perfect. Going to up it to 10 mins and tweak the sliders to increase turnovers. It's nice the patch applied to the myGM I'm 25 games into with the Bucks.

Awesome w all that was addressed EXCEPT for Shaq's face & body.
He def needed a facelift BUT post-patch is worse. Also, pre-patch he was thinner & younger w the Magic & a little bigger & older w the Lakers which was perfect.
Post-patch he's the same for both teams.

i wish they would've fixed or updated a few others; Chandler Parsons & Kobe are 2 off the top of my head...

also, the Latin Nights jerseys this year are sleeveless so that needs to be addressed as well...

all in all, great job 2k! & THANK U for listening to our concerns! much respect

Had the same problem. Davis finished like 12/15 but Holiday and Evans kept chucking long 2's, completely ignoring Davis.

Bump up 'look for post players' to 65. It helps.

Offline- Fastbreak took a big hit. CPU has the catchup magnet speed back from old 2ks. Your player will slow down to let them get in front of you



cpu offense is vastly improved, notably the 3 point line and in the post. Really great stuff here.



Defense more responsive for user



Shooting percentages lowered for both



CPU can get a little dribble and pass happy in heavy traffic with no noticeable penalty



I would rate the game 8.5 post patch, might be able to bring it to a 9.5 with some slider adjustments. Hate the speed nerf, feels like an online exploit they removed and it affects the offline gameplay negatively.

I have been holding off on giving feed back on the patch because I wanted to really dig in to the gigabites of goodness 2k bestowed upon us.

First the defense:

Vastly improved for a number of reasons:

-position is respected for the most part in the paint. You can put your hands up consistantly, and the animations are appropriate.

-i have been asking for YEARS for 2k to get the spacing between the defender and ball-handler correct, and this patch did it. 2k has always had the defender too close to the ball-handler and this resulted in contact heavy perimeter play. You constantly found yourself in that contact animation that allows defenders to mash square for a steal. Unrealistic and post-patch the steal during that animation is more difficult.

-In offline, head-to-head play I found that dumping the ball off in traffic to a big man with a defender in the way is more difficult. your defenders will tip and intercept the ball at a noticeably higher rate.

- on ball defense footwork is been improved vastly allowing you to keep up with the offensive player. personally I still think dribble moves are a little fast so I lower the player speed to 47 but it's still a great improvement.

- blocks are back. you can actually dominate the paint with a premier shot blocker. I was playing my cousin with the Rockets and sent back four of his forced lay up attempts with Dwight Howard, I then recovered and got an emphatic swat helping from the weak side with D12.

- That awkward crab shuffle closeout that was in the game pre-patch has either been removed or severely minimize. it would make bigs cover way too much ground, and mucked up the pick and pop game.

- the no head setting has been improved to work better with the icing pick and roll defense setting on side pick and rolls. The big actually pays attention to the ball-handler.

sorry to post back to back but my phone is having technical difficulties

offensively:

- the improved on ball defense spacing allows for more freedom of movement and less brick wall collisions.

- the Eurostep has been made easier to trigger with the right stick. I'm thinking the recognition window has been widened because I can do the move at will now.

- I'm seeing a greater variety of animations when driving to the rim thanks to the tackle animations being lessened and actually called fouls.

- quicker pass speeds have improved everything from the pick and roll to the drive and kick game. it's glorious.

IDK why but for me the patch made the game worse. I missing wide open slightly early/late release. My team mates miss a lot more shot that before the patch. I think they need to tone up the percentage of made shot a bit because the game is starting to be a pain to play for me.

I had posted somewhere a couple weeks ago that I'd given up chasing perfect stats so I could just enjoy a game because other than baseball I had found it pretty unattainable. Then this patch came out. Stats I'm getting are spot on across the board with the sliders I'm using.

best patch ever. the park surpass mycareer after this patch to me. 2k must had the Park on pro prior to the patch. it now seems like its on HOF or Superstar. man this is a different game. i love it

Well you guys sounds like the patch is doing it's job. I watch just about every Pelicans game, and I can assure you that's pretty much the same thing that happens IRL.

The improved zip on passes, excellent responsiveness on defense and increased number of fouls have made this a different game. Best sports game I've ever played, no question. Using short shuffles along with the the manual shot contest feels so organic now...I LOVE playing defense and trying to contain star players. The beautiful thing is star players are still hard to contain...overall this is just an outstanding game now.
