Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
Never understood why gamers feel like game companies OWE them an explanation, or that they have a RIGHT to be part of the development cycle. Consumers buy products everyday, but gamers seem to be the only group who have this irrational sense of entitlement.
2K Sports has told us what they can tell us about the patch, yet people still continue to demand a full investigation into the matter.
If a phone has bugs in the software people feel just as entitled to get the bugs fixed.
They release these every single year to get maximum profits off us. Instead of releasing a complete game every 2 years. They have to rush development, to make profit. Which means bugs, which entitles us to fixesLast edited by zrohman; 12-17-2014, 05:01 PM.Comment

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
There has been so many different explanations. This has to be the worst patch for a 2K released game. If you read the UK or Europe 2K twitter they made it seem like their version of the patch was just sent to them, just all around weird.
I actually think they should no longer even put days when to expect the patch after this fiasco.Comment

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
I'll try to be as respectful as possible:
This thread was created for us to vent our frustrations and share any info regarding the patch. Now Steve comes in and threatens to ban people because it's getting ridiculous.
No one wants to get banned, but we will all be walking on eggshells now, thus defeating the purpose of this thread.
If we aren't allowed to speak our minds (within the TOS, of course) without having to tip-toe around, and guess as to what OS deems acceptable venting, then this thread should be locked.
We deserve the right to know what they have promised us, particularly because the game is further supported through micro-transactions.
Condemning the responsible party for their inability to be completely clear about the situation is fair.Comment

In gaming, these companies love to use forums like this one and other social media to get their positive PR out there. They love the interaction with the community when it's all sunshine and rainbows. The problem is, that when something doesn't work, everything gets locked down. Can't have it both way's.
If there is a problem, all 2K needed to do was come out and say that "Microsoft and Sony International have identified some concerns they feel need addressed before approval, we currently have no ETA but will update our status in 5 days. Thank you for your patience".
I think the majority would, while disappointed, be satisfied and wait for further updates.Comment

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
Can we get a comprehensive list of what 2k and Microsoft has told us explicitly?
We deserve the right to know what they have promised us, particularly because the game is further supported through micro-transactions.
Condemning the responsible party for their inability to be completely clear about the situation is fair.
2k has told us the following:
-Monday 12/8: Patch released on PS4. People are complaining about the missing shoe bug. 2k Marketing confirms the patch is still coming for PC and X1.
Wednesday 12/10: Patch released on PC. More reports of the shoe bug.
Thursday 12/11: LD says he is going to check with MS about the X1. Silent about the international PS4 patch.
Friday 12/12: No update from 2k Marketing except for a twitter post from LD stating that MS said the patch could drop "maybe by the end of the week". 2k UK marketing says the patch was submitted that day for international users.
Monday 12/15: Still no update from 2k marketing on OS but Ronnie and LD state on their twitter pages that they are "still waiting on MS".
Tuesday 12/16: LD states on OS that the patch is still being tested by MS but allegedly states during the livestream that the patch had been resent to MS.Comment

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
I've been playing live more since the release, but have been occasionally curious about 2k15. I've been looking forward to the patch, to see if it helps me like it more, but this whole situation has chased me right into the arms of Live.
Having said that, PS4 users have had the Live patch for a bit now, and X1 users are still waiting...could something be going on with MS in general?Comment

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
I feel bad for LD because honestly at this point it seems like even he's confused...I think the devs and/or Microsoft and Sony aren't telling the full story and he just has to keep reiterating what he was told.
People forget he has nothing to do with making the game, he just relays info; but, I think 2K (as a whole) needs to be better with letting us know when things are going on. This isn't the first time they've been late responding to issues we've had.
I'm just throwing this out there but I don't feel like this is a Microsoft problem. Patches always release at the same time I just don't see how such a big company would let such a big patch for a big game be delayed this long while the competition (Sony) has the patch already (in US).I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

Re: Patch #3 XB1 and International PS4 Update Thread
Like I said, I find it very hard to think MS would let Sony just have a patch for 2 weeks while it was "submitted at the same time" as them.
It would just give new customers (especially around Christmas time) more incentive to get the game for PS4.I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
