I want 2K to prove me wrong, but I'm standing firm that if we don't get it this week we're not getting it until after Christmas...

For me the patch at this point will arrive in January. I'm sure.

Even reading this on the loo knowing the patch is not out I'm still gonna stick nba2k15 in the Xbox, as soon as I've finished up here, and hope that the patch has arrived... I know it won't have but I keep trying lol

I hope this finds you well. Our search rages on... Over the last few weeks I've seen much glory in the actions of many a triumphant poster as well as the unmitigated horror as the last few rays of life drain from the faces of gamers both here on the mainland and fighting abroad.


Still despite the turmoil of this awe inspiring quest for the Holy Patch, which will decide the fate of this great game, our leaders tell us that we will persevere. I beseech that our good lord and savior, The Great Sim Baller In The Heavens, will see me through this clamorous day and through the many contests to come.

I've received your letter and your words bring great concern. I am troubled to learn of your dire situation. Not a day goes by where I don't question the hope of your return. Things are no better here on the mainlands. Since yourself and the Kings army has departed for their search of the Holy Patch, the gamers have become even more restless and I fear their anger and rage for justice will eventually lead to violent riots.

The Kings messenger LD2K was chased throughout the city a full moon ago and barely escaped with his life. Though he came to comfort the outraged gamers, his words held no meaning and manifested no hope to them. Scofield, the people have gone mad. Your dear mother hasn't seen the glimmering warmth of the sun in 14 days and I fear she will worry herself to her grave if you don't return soon.

I hear word that our brothers across the great sea in Europe also haven't any luck in their search for the enigmatic Holy Patch. Scofield, I fear the world will soon erupt in chaos if the Patch isn't unveiled soon. Tis tumultuous times we must endure my friend.

Please, do your best but heed my warnings. Gamers lurk around even the most innocent of corners and nothing but blood will suffice the seemingly unquenchable thirst of justice until they get the coveted Patch.

My PS4 has frozen numerous times playing 2K post-patch. Only game I've encountered so far on PS4 to freeze the console. It wont let me close out 2K, then it won't let me shut down the console. I have to unplug the console, which is never great. Anyone else experiencing this?

Between custom shoes being wiped out and most of the world still waiting for the patch, it's becoming a real debacle at this point. It's a bummer too, because the gameplay is definitely improved (except whats up with layups rarely going in? eurosteps and runners are still a crapshoot).

It looks like 2K is keeping quiet because they know they screwed up with this patch.

Waiting for some statement of 2K. Or some respect, whatever. Such a enormous lack of commitment and professionalism. I really don't know how a company can be so disrespectful.

I dont think we arent getting anything else. I've accepted that they either cant or willingly dont want to get an answer from MS. Marketing has gone from giving us timelines to saying that they have no idea when the patch is coming and its in MS's hands.

Seems like no one else has noticed your post... If this is the case then this is the most info we have had since the start... If it is indeed true then why didn't anyone inform us of this? It would have cleared the air as to why the patch has not been released yet!

Clearly your the only one who care about what I posted I been in contact with 2k support and that's what they gave me but clearly your he only one who notice that I gave that info to help benefit everyone here but I guess your the only one who caught on that I tried to inform the others who are waiting like me but I'm just waiting for another patch for this shoe issue to get resolved cause I havent been playing it either due to this issue.

It was monday morning on ps4 if I recall correctly. Also, I havent seen a ton of X1 patches released at night.

Last 2k patch in October came in the night, doubt it'll be the same this time around though lol.

Afteristening to PS4 owners post patch, it is becoming more apparent why the patch wasn't approved.

All I hear is numerous game-breaking elements, freezing consoles and additional bugs.

Through all this I'm still a bit confused. I know LD2K said no one said the patch was resubmitted-- but was it actually resubmitted? Where did this info come from?


After a little thought, it always seemed odd to me that 2K Marketing is doing what is essentially online customer support in the first place. Seems like it would make sense for the online marketing twitter guys to continue to do what they seem to enjoy doing and appear good at, and for an online support staff to manage information about online status, updates, and patches-- the boring work of telling the same people the same thing day after day.


Marketing has the philosophy of never saying anything that could be perceived negatively, and telling customers what to feel and think-- while support has the entirely opposite philosophy of never presuming to tell a customer how to feel, but only attempts to affect that by providing information and solutions.


Feels like it may take a different methodology and mindset for a 2K online customer relations rep than it does for a social media marketer-- because as we've seen, information about the patch is treated like a marketing tool where we get information if it makes the product and 2K look better, and very little if there's worry it might reflect on 2K poorly in the immediate future, when reality, transparency and detailed updates about support issues usually build some degree of trust and understanding.
