You are missing my point, once a Threat is MADE, everyone goes on Higher Alerts.

IF they can get into your Gaming System, they gain Access to Banking, Credit Card, Personal Information, etc. And there are Millions of Gamers out there, imagine the Damage it could do to a country sending it into MASS Chaos.

I'm not a complainer. I play games to have fun and I never lose sight of the fact that I'm playing a videogame. I have been enjoying Shadow of Mordor and Destiny and NBA Live in small doses while waiting on 2K's patch.

I must say though that 2K next gen (XB1 for me) has been one headache after another. So much so that the brand has fallen a bit in my eyes. I missed playing large chunks of the 2K14 last year because of the crappy servers. I toughed through that because the gameplay was A1 and it was the first year on the new systems. There are kinks to work out and I understand that.

This year the gameplay is better and my franchise experience isn't tethered to the servers anymore and myleague is a gem (minus the regression issue) thanks to Leftos. I tried to play MyCareer, but after (finally) getting a good scan the server crashed and reset my player (and VC, which I don't buy so I don't care) to default and that was it for me. But here I am again on Christmas vacation waiting on 2K to fix their screwup again via this patch. Enough is enough!

I'm not gonna say that I won't buy the game next year, because I know I will; but I ain't preordering or buying on release day anymore. I'm not buying another buggy incomplete game from 2K and then have to wait months on end to play the complete game. Enough with this.

I'm not a business major but I think this is the typical pattern of how companies lose customers. They go from automatic preorder... to waiting for the reviews.... to actually listening to the reviews.... to finally leaving all together. I'm at the point now where it's almost not worth the aggravation. One of these years Live is going to catch up and 2k will wonder how they let it happen. These last two years are the start for a lot of people I think.

No way 2k has the self awareness to call the patch a "miracle." When it comes out they'll act like it was right on time.

I'm in a similar boat. I don't think Live will catch 2K anytime soon though. 2K is a much better game on its worst day than Live on its best, IMO. The game is increasingly becoming an aggravating experience. And as the next gen cycle hit its stride with more quality releases (especially toward the end of the year) I can see myself holding off on or just waiting until 2K fixes their game before dropping $60. It doesn't do me any good anyway if I have to wait 2 or 3 months to get the full experience; I'd rather just wait. I literally only put the game in to check for the patch. That's crazy for me because 2K hoops has been my gaming spade since 2K4. This is becoming a discouraging pattern and I hope 2K gets their crap together soon.

its funny how a F2P game like warframe had issues yesterday sent a patch over to Microsoft and its already been accepted and probably be ready to download tomorrow smh.

for me nba2K is becoming a january purchase.

the show, madden and fifa or PES will tie me over until then, and then I'll buy 2K in january after all the bs has simmered down.

every year it seems to be something about the release which frustrates. you know it always comes out a good 2-3 months before its really ready and tested enough, hence the whole needing patches.

I use to be a pre order guy after 2k09 until 2K12 ... then in 2013 I waited until reviews on post play, and tendencies had come out to fix the mess that 2K12 was.

now i'm treating 2K how I treat madden. it's one of my favorite sports, and my favorite sport to play, but until its patched its not worth the bother.

the really good thing is Live has taken a few major steps in the last 2 years. If they keep pushing the limits of what they're doing they'll have a pretty good game at some point on current gen.

and it's right at that point that my memories for 2K will propel me to buy Live for my hoops fix.

competition is everything in video gaming.

The timeline of events make no sense coming from 2K. To anyone with a reasonable amount of common sense this is actually insulting to me.

If the XB1 US patch had issues that needed to get fixed before MS accepts it, doesn't that mean it has to be resent by 2K with all fixes addressed? I mean come on now we are not that dumb and all of us are not kids. If the XB1 US patch comes with fixed mycareer shoe bug doesn't that mean MS couldn't have the original patch that was sent if the PS4 US was sent at the same time.

I know some of you guys know this but patches are not cheap. I looked up some old articles but in 2012 it cost $40,000 to submit a patch on PS3/XBox360. Who knows what it cost now on current gen but I would bet money it can't be that much cheaper if it even went down. From what I am reading the PS4 will have to get another patch to fix the myCareer shoe bug.

Now if you were running 2K would you pay double the amount to patch the games twice or hold off and fix the other bugs and add them to the previous patch since MS gave you a list of things you needed to fix anyway? So in my opinion the patch was held up yes by MS but they were doing their job from whatever issues or bugs were in the original patch.

LD2K and Ronnie can only talk about things that are at their pay grade. They report to somebody who has final say on what is 2K statement and how to proceed. They become a Dev, Customer Support and a community guy, and Marketing all at the same time and I think that is not good overall especially when issues arise on social media.
