Re: #SimNation: Teach Me How Thread

Hey guys, cool thread..definitely some nice tips in here.

I'm big into doing fantasy drafts in MyLeague and the one thing I try do with each team is run my offense like the Spurs. Playing on Superstar with sliders from that forum, regardless of who I am I have a hard time mimicking the Spurs offense. Even with every combination of 3-2/4-1/Swing and Motion Cuts, guys just don't seem to move like they do when I play with the actual Spurs. I love the extra pass and finding an open guy, but I really struggle getting clean looks somewhat consistently.

What could I do to help this?

      Hey,

What is the most efficient way to get the Dead eye badge in MyCareer? Difficulty? Game Speed? Time Length? How many games?

      Thanks.

Have you tried freelance instead of motion cuts?

I apologize if this has already been asked, but does anyone know how to do a step-back from the triple threat? It seems like I can get the animation to trigger every once in awhile by holding RT and tapping the shot stick away from the hoop, but often times, it doesn't do anything at all.

What you describes works for me, but I've got the pro stick set to absolute rather than camera relative.

Good call. I just switched to absolute to make things like euro-steps a bit easier and I'm not sure I've tried to do this step-back since making the change. I'll have to give it a try.

On that topic, under absolute, what direction do you push to do a reverse layup?

When you are driving baseline you push up towards the baseline. It still has issues registering for me, but generally if you do that it works fine.

Is there any advantage to a bird contract type? With that, the player can get a 7.5% increase instead of 5, but is there any other advantage? If not, isn't it better to just give an extra 50k per year to make him sign and not have the larger salary increase?

Anyone know how to do the double shimmy from the post? About the only move I cannot do and haven't seen done from a user.

Haven't played 2K much since Mortal Kombat dropped but I will pop it in here in a few to make sure I have the correct buttons.

If you hold down R2 then use the right stick to do a fade you will get a shimmy. The shimmy moves are random and can range from just a single or double shimmy to dream shakes.

Quick question- I watch a lot of videos with guys doing incredible 1 on 1 moves. (See video below)

I have a hard time performing these moves... To combo moves, do you start with a flick of the right stick and then combo with the left stick? Or do you combo flicking the RS multiple different times?

If anyone has any advice, please let me know. Thanks!!

Thanks. I'll check it out. Silly that it's random.

Maybe I can re-phrase this, as it may have been a bit confusing. My question is how do you combo moves together with a cross over to get to the rim.

In the video, he explains how to flick the RS to start an isolation move, but then says go into a crossover. To go into a crossover dribble and explode to basket do I flick the RS again? Or do I cross over with the left stick in the opposite direction of where my RS isomotion move was going?

                                Hope this makes sense... Thanks!!
