Re: NBA 2K15 Roster Update Brings Global Rating Changes to 3-Point & Mid-Range Shooti

I haven't played the game with the patch as is without the adjustments but playing a few games I can tell it seem to reward open shots more(a lot more a+ shot ratings) and I'm guessing the patch took that too far and thus the adjusted ratings. Anyways from the games I played everything is fine. Anyone who can shoot can still shoot it seem. My spurs didn't miss a beat.

That would probably require a patch. It seems like a small thing but roster updates are built into the games core so it doesn't require a patch. It's a quick fix but sliders can be updates by us for offline , but for online and other modes, to universally adjust isn't possible without a patch, at least to my knowledge

This roster update definitely made less talented players and teams (Knicks, 76ers, and Lakers) undesirable. Any players with a shooting attributes of less than 60 (F grade) would be avoid. You guys should adjust that and balance that out as well. Good teams with talent on the other hand are fine.

The patch made shooting easier so Lower level players and higher level players would all shoot better. They lowered everyone equally so I don't see how anyone is at an advantage

What are you saying if you have a 60 or below rating for shooting then you automatically get a F grade on releases? Therefore you can't achieve a perfect release? Roster gurus is this the cut off where a player can't shoot at all?

I have only practiced with the Sixers last night and I was swishing mid range green's with Nerlens Noel. Not sure what his mid range was before.

No he meant attribute rating. Rating where lower so grades were lowered. You can still get perfect releases with everyone.

If it´s easily to fix things with roster why they don´t fix other things like blocking and no shooting fouls(tendancy). How much it affect in myleague for Stats. Will the stats of shooting % for other teams go down?

Does this mean that potentials were left untouched?Because with player progression all the young guys will shoot better than the old ones ,a year in or two in myleague and mygm.

For example, a guy like marcus smart or dante exum in 2 years will be a better shooter than specialists like kyle korver is now.

Also what about the bigman floor spacers? Mirotic is a 67 3pt ,same as Patterson and close to that is Ilyasova too.Does a 67 rating justify the big man cpu to guard his man out to the 3pt line?

Anymore patches or updates coming? I've been waiting for a layup-making fix, also want the big men to be respectable

I really don't like this choice... You should modify the gameplay NOT all the players... And what about the draft class auto generate ???

Thanks, yes, that's actually what I meant. Attributes shooting grades were lower. Less talented players who now have a F-grade in shooting attributes now, became a bit difficult to shoot with unless one master their perfect release. This could be an issue going forward.

Ok anyone with a F grade say 67 or lower now will be a 59 and will only be able to hit perfect releases or nothing? I personally have no problem with that because if they are rated that low they are not a "shooter" anyway. They are either a real non-shooter or have no business shooting jumpers at all.

I am more interested in the gameplay impact. Say the CPU deciding when to guard players or sag off also controlling Myleague ratings shooting scale.

Well Knicks Lance Thomas got screwed over this update. Now, he can't shoot threes, lol. The only 66 overall rated starter in NBA 2K15. This guy plays slightly better than that.

Man I've had two absolute lockdown games defense after this update....it seems like with these edits and the increased penalty for contested shots, it has added the strategy aspect back to defense....
