Re: Confirmed Classic Teams for NBA 2k16
Also, for those interested, a breakdown of each real life roster:
2000 Blazers
Scottie Pippen
Bonzi Wells
Rasheed Wallace
Arvydas Sabonis
Damon Stoudamire
Gary Grant
Detlef Schrempf
Steve Smith
Jermaine O'Neal
Brian Grant
Stacey Augmon
Greg Anthony
2003 Mavericks
Dirk Nowitzki
Steve Nash
Michael Finley
Shawn Bradley
Adrian Griffin
Eduardo Najera
Raef LaFrentz
Nick Van Exel
Raja Bell
Walt Williams
Tariq Abdul-Wahad
Evan Eschmeyer
If those squads are added, it would kind of mess with my hypothesis of only sticking with teams made up of players already in the game. The 2000 Blazers might only have between 4-6 players already in 2K in some regard (Schrempf, Pippen, Wallace (coach), O'Neal (recent player), Anthony, and Smith). I'd imagine they would have chased a few more licenses to round things out. That could bode well for other possible teams included.Last edited by VDusen04; 08-05-2015, 08:49 AM.Comment

Re: Confirmed Classic Teams for NBA 2k16
I welcome both of those classic teams esp, the 2000 Blazers that was my favorite team after the Jordan Bulls era ended. Ill never forget the lump I got in my throat watching the Lakers come back from 15 to win that game in the playoffs that year.Comment

Re: Confirmed Classic Teams for NBA 2k16
It's funny every time one of these threads pop up there are teams mentioned that should never, ever, ever be considered a "classic" team or even remotely close to being up to par with the teams 2k already has lol.
I love Vince Carter as much as anyone, probably more, but there's no way 2K is going to add in one of those extremely mediocre Raptors teams. The only reason the Sixers made it is so they could battle the Kobe/Shaq team.
And IMO calling Reggie Miller a legend is a big stretch, and while it would be cool to battle MJ or Ewing with him that's just another 90's team that the classic list is already crammed full of. I'd rather see a Barkely's Suns team if they absolutely felt the need to add another Bulls matchup squad.
I'd rather see more variety, a Pistons championship squad, more 60's-80's teams, bring back the legends that were removed, etc. instead of adding every decent team from the 90's.

Teams earlier than 2001 are considered retro/classic to me. Anytime later than that year needs to be a well known dominant championship team to be added into that category. I would rather see more teams from the 60's to 90's that where championship/dominant teams to be put in the classic category.Comment

So basically you want tons of Celtic teams and tons of Laker teams, and the 90s was just Detroit, Bulls, Rockets and Spurs which are already in the game, doesn't sound like a lot of fun to be had with just the championship teams being added.Comment

Re: Confirmed Classic Teams for NBA 2k16
It would be great. Not only is Stockton clearly past his prime by 98, but the team lacks their fourth best player in Bryon Russell. The team has one real three in Shandon Anderson. Who is a solid backup, but not starter material.Comment
