    Play a variety of modes testing blocking , stealing , and just overall staying with your man on defense. I wanna see the success rate of contested shots online and offline vs the A.I basically the overall defense. That will determine the replay ability for me

Whereas in Madden, I can take a crap team and play each game, and over the course of a few years, make them a good team again.

      However, this was the year I put my foot down against Madden and it's lack of progressiveness. I'm going with 2k this year. I want to have full control over the roster and things like that. Which game mode should i use? It should be fun playing as the Lakers for Kobe's last year, and then turning the franchise over to Russell and Randle. I should also ad that I am an offline player. I guess I'm looking for whatever mode is comparable to being the owner in Madden, or at least the GM.

      Thoughts?
      I am also more of an offline player, I think MyGM is the mode in the game you might want to start with first, depending on what you mentioned. Hopefully this year we can play less than 82 games, but the quickplay option looks ok. I want to play with the Lakers also and build post Kobe, but I think I might move the Kings to Las Vegas first and change their franchise around. Certainly will create a player for MyCareer but right now I'm just very excited about being able to relocate teams. Cant wait til next month.

        Dive into mycareer head first, after a month or so start a mygm or myleague and then after that by the all star game start my real mygm or myleague that should last me until the release of the next title. Ofcourse that would all change if OA is working and i find a good group of guys to play with.

          Like always I start out with my Iverson like player in MyCareer, then I move on to play with the Nuggets in MyLeague.

          But I might do more in MyGM also just so I can use the relocation feature.

              Definitely gonna try and go for all the achievements/trophies this year. As for individual modes:

              myTeam: just try and play to get a great team, while getting the achievements

              myGM: I only sim myGMs just for the fun of it

              myLeague: play with a lower end team that I'll end up relocating to a better city (Louisville anybody?)

              myCareer: bask in the story as a 6'10" legit PF

              myPark: just get to at least All-Star (got to legend in 2K15 and, after wasting so much time for it, regretting it

              Pro-Am: have fun of course with some of my friends on a custom court

                I'm going to start off playing MyCareer and make myself a 6'0"-6'1" 160-170lb. PG with the play style between Rondo and CP3 - nice all around game with a focus on playmaking, defense, and scoring inside with about an average jump shot to start.

                Then once the season starts and the rosters become finalized I'll start probably a MyGM with the Indiana Pacers and try to get back to the level of just a few seasons ago.

                  Day one is just rooting around in the rosters, seeing who is in the game (hoping for a real Sean Kilpatrick, crossing my fingers for Royce White).

                  Then it's time to get to work on fictional draft classes again. I only ended up getting to use my 2nd draft class (out of four that were uploaded). I was going to to stick with 2k15 and try to get deeper into MyLeague until I saw all the MyLeague information.

                    Career/Park/pro-am by day, MyLeague by night.

                        Re: NBA 2K16 Plans

                        I always do the same two things every year.

                        1. This has been a tradition for 10+ years with my brother and cousin, but we all create a perfect player (6'5 PG, 5'0 SG, and 7+ Center) and have the rest of the roster just garbage. The thing I do on my own is add the legendary players to the current day teams and create a super team for every team in the league. It makes it a bit more challenging even with 3 created players (eventually I trade one away to make it a big more challenging). I use to include players like a Horace Grant, but with so many teams being added I don't know if I will. I like to give current-day young players/rookies at least a chance to get some PT. I will definitely be completely re-branding a team. Just not sure which team yet. Likely one that doesn't have legendary players in the game (Kings or Pacers possibly).

                        2. A realistic Minnesota Timberwolves season. I don't start this until mid-way through the season, though. I want to make sure I have at least a lot of the transactions accounted for and big injuries (such as Parker injury and Dragic trade last year). The one thing that will be different is I will definitely be re-doing the Wolves' jerseys. I love the team name and concept, so that's the only part that I think needs updating.

                        This way I'm able to enjoy to different franchises for a long period of time. That was a lot more than I planned to type, but I'm just crazy hyped for this game!

                          First ill probably create myself as always. Then ill run a few exhibitions to get a feel for the game this year.

                          Then do a myLeague. Bring the thunder back to Seattle , rebrand the Clippers, and probably bring the NJ Nets back. Maybe make a new arena for Milwaukee since they have one in the works. Still not sure on the last one.

                            MyLeague:

                            Relocations
                            LA Clippers -> Seattle SuperSonics (complete with '93-'94 logo and uniforms)

                            Sacramento Kings -> Kansas City Kings

                            Memphis Grizzlies-> Vancouver Grizzlies (resurrecting their old Vancouver logo and unis)

                            Oklahoma City Thunder -> Kentucky Colonels (if possible, if not then either Louisville Colonels, or move to Nashville or St. Louis with name TBD)

                            Detroit Pistons -> Montreal (Royals?)

                            Rebrands

                            Utah Jazz -> Utah Raptors

                            New Orleans Pelicans -> New Orleans Jazz (possibly with old logo and unis prior to Jazz relocation to Utah)

                            Toronto Raptors -> Toronto Huskies

                            Washington Wizards -> Washington/Capital Bullets

                            Brooklyn Nets uniforms

                                30 team control my league, deciding between 58 and 82 games.

                                5-5-5-7 playoff format

                                CPU can make trades but cannot sign free agents

                                Salary cap of about 75 million with some increases going forward. May or may not remove hard cap.
