I do the same thing every year when I first get the game home. Start a CPU vs CPU game, usually Knicks vs a rival. I like to see the new stuff without having to control the game.

Re: NBA 2K16 Plans
Long term i'll be playing a mycareer and a my league. Upon first boot up jump straight into a play now game to experience the new gameplay for the first time. The most exciting part for me is playing that first game and getting to feel some of the changes in gameplay for the year. Practice mode is cool and I do check it out but I didnt wait all summer just to jump straight into practice mode when I first get the game. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Plans
+Start MyCareer. Usually my goal is to play 2 seasons and win the Championship at least one of those years
+Start Myteam so I can start working the market while I'm playing MyCareer. Eventually later in the year when the market crashes, I'll buy a team and try for 1st seed
+Try out Pro-am once I've gotten myplayer stats up. If it is awesome, this may become my new addiction
+Later in the year, I'll do MyGm with the new simcast and try to build up a dynastyComment

Re: NBA 2K16 Plans
First I'm gonna play as LAL vs Magic SS/SIM 12 minutes quarter to get used to all new buttons and some of the defensive features. Also because Kobe and Hezonja
Next I'm gonna start MyCareer as white, euro Dikembe Mutombo because defense. All I'm gonna upgrade until it's maxed out is my defense, then athleticism, then post offense, then passing and lastly I'm gonna upgrade my shooting to prolong my career. I want to play at least 7-10 years.
Along with MC I'm gonna start obligatory LAL MyLeague and try to get them in the playoffs in season 1, seed 4 in season 2 and WCF at least in season 3. #SimNation rules brahComment

Play some blacktop games to get used to the new controls/movement.
Then start a MyLeague with the warriors, or maybe timberwolvesComment

Re: NBA 2K16 Plans
I'll run a few 48 minute quick games with the 08 Celtics to get a feel for the game.
The only game mode that doesn't require edited rosters is MyTeam so I'll be starting off with that while I fine tune the rosters to my liking.
1) I'll start off fixing rotations, coach tendencies and POE's if necessary.
2) Use that roster to sim a season in MyLeague, check out simmed stats for individuals and teams, take note of anything that sticks out, and go back and adjust my rosters accordingly till I get results that I'm happy with. (First thing I'll be looking for are if Offensive rebounds and blocks have a cap on them again, i'll have to upgrade a lot of people to 99 in those categories if they do.)
3) Start a 30 team MyLeague with my edited rosters. Using the Celtics, Pistons or Jazz most likely.
4) Start a MyGM.
5) Start a MyCareer.
6) Edit the retro teams on the side, and once I get those looking good, start a 30 team MyLeague with all great teams mixed in with some modern powerhouses. And I'll be playing as the 08 Celtics.
First I'll start off with taking a look at the rosters, fixing rotations, POE's andLast edited by antdoggydogg; 09-12-2015, 07:08 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Plans
Gonna make one MyGM file where I move a team to Seattle and revive the Supersonics.
Then I'll make ANOTHER MyGM and move a team to Louisville to revive the old Kentucky Colonels, since they now have two of their old players in the Hall of Fame (Artis Gilmore and Louie Dampier), and a ready-made arena (the KFC Yum! Center).
Then I might make ANOTHER MyGM where I move a team to Kansas City...
And of course, I go nuts in MyLeague. Welcome back, Vancouver Grizzlies.
Oh, and I'll try to do MyCareer right this time. Had to stop writing that dynasty of mine, because an undrafted rookie pulling down 30 rebounds per game is most definitely not sim.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Plans
MyLeague: I always control all the teams. I'll play out the first season without making any real moves in terms of moving people. But come the offseason I'm moving the Clippers to Seattle. I can't have them in LA anymore and those uniforms have to go. I wanted to move OKC but the west needs more smaller market teams.
MyGM: Rolling with the Hornets as usual. I'm simply looking for a young defensive big man with potential and a way to trade for Devin Booker. And praying beyond belief that Curry enters free agency and get him away from Golden State. My projects will be to turn MKG into Jimmy Butler and Frank into atleast a poor mans Pau Gasol. And I am going to have to get rid of Big Al for someone because I know he is walking in 2K come free agency. No bird rights and teams have major cap space. Getting rid of Zeller that's for sure.
The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Plans
Mycareer: not sure which player since i've yet to hear about attribute limitations. Usually i have a rodman like pf between 6'6-6'9 but if this is another year where specific heights don't have their own (dis)advantages then i might just finally cave and make a max height sf to play pf.
Myteam: just want to get through the low difficulty seeds in rttp before everybody starts cheesing their butts off.
Eventually mygm: I'll put 99-00 vince on the current rosters if that's possible. I'll put him one of the crappy teams and relocate/rebrand them using the same design as my myteam and possibly pro-am team.Comment
