Well unless it's a current guy on a normal cover that's a bad assumption to make.

It still looks like him, doesn't it.

I couldn't care less, I don't use classic teams much but as long as he plays like Jordan and I can actually slash without missing easy layups, he could look like Brian Scalabrine for all I care.

Only because we're familiar with 2K's classics work on next gen.

It's completely reasonable to anyone who hasn't bought the last two next gen installments and followed the franchise closely.

Why? In 2k11 MJ was on the cover and he looked perfect along with the other legends. He wasn't a current guy, it's a responsible expectation that a player on the cover would be represented well.

Not only that he's not even on the normal one, he's one the more expensive cover.

What happened to his cornrows? Was waiting for someone to point that out. They were like gray!

Because of the last 3 years maybe? Also, like I said before, the only reason he's on a cover this year is for the people who want the "special edition" extras. This isn't 2k11 where he was THE main focus (just like in 2k12 the legends were the main focus). Outside of a wall decal and a different cover, nothings changed. He wasn't the main cover guy this year whether he's on the "special edition" or not.

Btw my original point stands, it makes no sense to buy a special edition when that had no bearing on whether or not his cyberface had been changed.

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?

Aside from these poor representations of legends I am sick of Jordan, Tmac, VC, Iverson missing nearly every layup, if it's even the slightest bit contested. I get they want the game to be fair for everyone but that's the reason why those guys were so good because they were creative around the rim and amazing finishers. That should be part of the challenge of playing these guys, having to stop these guys while they try to adjust at the rim.

Everyone's starting to play the same. Rolling layups in and out all the time, lame imo

Then if they make it so those players make those everyone will say the legends or stars are cheese and OP.

Just think, this is the first year they've added legends on current gen correct? All the players they've done exclusively for 2k16 seem to be decent, it's the ports that look really bad. That's why I think most won't see an improvement until the next lockout because they aren't the priority.

I think you don't hold 2k to a high enough standard. When you market MJ on the special edition of a game moving closer and closer to photo realism.. I think most of us belive it should be a given that time would be dedicated to making sure he looks good.

To each his own I guess

Dude legends are OP in real life. It's not that they make every layup its just they should at least try to adjust and not look so helpless.

It should take good inside D/Block timing to stop them not 'be in the vicinity' like it's Matt Barnes driving..let legends be hard to stop especially these guys. I saw them each miss nearly every layup.

If you're going to have a player be a cover athlete and charge 20+ more dollars for the privledge, the LEAST you can do is update that ONE player to the standards you're capable of, as demonstrated with a few of these next-gen classic players.
