Signature stuff. If the above moves were replicated with a bit of pride and they did SOMETHING about that horrendous attempt for a cyberface, I would probably not use anyone but classic Bulls teams (assuming they are still in the game).

I was playing 2K11 today and they did such a good job replicating Mike with all the signature moves. Why couldn't they just maintain that? I don't get it.

Unfortunately, I don't think classic players are a priority anymore. They're just something included on the disc because people take it for granted now, which is probably why we keep asking and asking and most of it never gets done. Unless it's a major part of marketing the game (which, other than the Kobe thing, hasn't been in a while), I doubt they will take the time to make the changes we are asking for. But it doesn't mean we need to stop asking. I'm pretty sure they're reading this, but will they actually implement all this...?

They still need to make changes to accessory edits, which affect any player in the game. I hope they will.

There is a reason people lost interest like lack of attention to it, but i think a complete set up would be great for DLC.

it could net them dome extra funds and help pay down the licenses as well as give the fans the right detail

Don't think they'll ever do it though. They just add those playersto my team and call it a day.

Not a bad idea - and I KNOW it wouldn't bother me if it cost a small amount for higher quality legends.

I have NEVER played MyTeam because of how generic everyone is. If this were a thing, I'd consider it (and then still probably not play it haha).

I've said this countless times - no matter if it was DLC for new teams or an entire new game devoted to the legends only, 2k would make money from this and I'd pay big COIN to get my hands on it.

All those folk paying for the gold editions of this game just for the online guff - I'd gladly pay that for an extensive legend mode.

I suppose the only thing if they started making us pay, the expectation and standards of the legends would probably raise aswell.

Though I suppose that could easily be negated by letting you see what you're about to pay for in some way.

It's quite a good idea because people would be buying the legends over the course of the year, thus fueling the fund to develop them constantly.

                Everybody wins.

                But...anyhow....back to reality.....

Man, that's a damn accurate face scan there.

2k on point with the legends again.

This was '86 Jordan (vs Boston). You can tell by the hair..... on point this year.

I've had that idea for the longest. They even have precedent for it too now with the WWE games featuring the 2k Showcase mode. Imagine that being in NBA 2k with it not being limited to just Jordan. NBA 2k13's mobile game had something like this where it was a specific great game from newer legends like Shaq, T-Mac, Kobe, Dirk, KG, Duncan, A.I., etc.

They could make boatloads of extra DLC money with it having a backstory like those old NBA Championship videos or even how 2k Showcase throws in the cutscenes and story. I'd absolutely LOVE that mode and have no issue coughing up $10 per story.
                      Some team stories could be:
                      Kings vs Lakers Rivalry
Pistons vs Bulls Rivalry (they could even turn the foul slider down for these games so they could foul you and there'd be no calls)
                      Miami vs New York
                      Celtics vs Lakers 60's

                      Player stories could be:
                      Wilt vs Russell
                      Bird vs Magic
                      Kobe vs Duncan
                      A.I. vs Vince

I haven't visited this thread in a long time. Great suggestions! The videos with the Bulls actual arena sounds was awesome!

I've been playing since Lakers vs Celtics on PC. I bought it in the bargain bin around 1990.

I played nearly every NBA game back then. Tecmo, NBA Showdown,

, NBA Live, In the Zone, Shootout. That was when I was most passionate about the sport. Unfortunately, the technology wasn't there to make the games resemble real life. When 2k11 was released, it genuinely took me back. Having these classic teams is such a treat for me. I've still played with modern teams some but I've loved playing with my old favorites & seeing them look like I remember. Close anyway.

All the things that have been touched on do so much to enhance the game. I'd love to play with the Knicks & have Ewing look like himself, have his signature moves, & hear the Garden organ playing. I'd love to use the Lakers & see Magic pass in a way unique to him. Improved faces, more accurate gear, arena sounds, & signature moves would add so much to the game. I waited a long time for a game to capture 80's & 90's NBA. The technology is finally there & I'd love to see them maximize it.

NBA jam and bulls vs blazers were the first basketball video games i played. We definitely has came a long way from the 16 bit days.

Yep, it's always good to recall those days from time-to-time for the sake of relativity. I remember playing NBA Showdown '94 and dreaming of new features basketball games could include moving forward. My brother and I would discuss the idea of having authentic team jerseys, but then we'd laugh off that idea as being too unrealistic because the players were too small to fit the art (obviously we had no concept of a 3-D environment at that time).

Alas, just about three years later, NBA Live '97 for PC pulled it off, and it may look rough now, but it was stunning at the time.

Then again, on the other hand, signature moves first debuted in the early 90's yet after NBA Showdown, we wouldn't see them included in a basketball game until NBA 2K7. Over a decade of shunning one of the coolest features a basketball game could offer.

Still, sometimes I picture an NBA Showdown player running down the floor, all pixelated with his generic white jersey and square haircut. And then I look at a photo like this and I'm like, you know, we've got it pretty good here:

Then again, there's other times where, if 10-year-old me caught a glimpse of future Joe Dumars, it'd serve as nothing more than a healthy dose of nightmare fuel.

                              But still.

Laimbeer has looked terrible as well (worse than Joe D). And don't get me started on his terrible looking sig shot. They have also NEVER even gotten his eye color correct!!!

But pretty much all of the old classic teams players look bad, minus a small few. But at least get the eye color right on guys. Bird has looked hideous and only in the last 2 years has 2k gotten his eye color correct.

Come on devs, try just a bit harder on the classics. Please?? Pretty please?
