True, but by having other priorities (Online, Park, Mycareer), they shun a large portion of the 2k community by not spending equal time on the other modes/features that are widely enjoyed.

I realize that most folk only care about online stuff, which is fine, I get it, but they should at least understand that there are plenty of folk who play the game outside of online matches who'd like to see other things worked on.

The legends have been nerfed since we moved onto this generation of consoles - granted, they were kind enough to expand them last year (?) but as far as visuals go (Players/arenas/shoes) and signature elements, they've got worse every year. Removing players. Removing teams. Removing signature moves. Losing authentic arena sounds - all things that were present last gen.

Seeings we're on more powerful machines, there's more disc space and more opportunity for improvement, I'm not surprised as consumers that we've got something to be critical about.

As mentioned above, for a thread this large and that has continued for so long, knowing Devs DO follow some of the stuff here, it's quite telling that they haven't addressed this stuff. Says a lot in regards to the legends aspect of the game - it's clearly just small fry stuff for 2k, which is sad considering it has quite a large following.

I won't be deterred though - I'll be right back here, or in a new thread for 2k18, trying to push for there to be improvements for the classic teams all over again. Probably wasting my time, but you gotta try, right?

They are not shunning retro players in my opinion. You are all here discussing the game and you will all buy it as soon as possible. Why should they care anyway?

Honestly kind of looks like a young and slightly skinnier Chris Webber in the face there.

At least some of the accessories should be able to be edited though, right? Even though the leg sleeve is kind of jacked?

sock length was editable by player last year, so that should be easy to fix on that young MJ with no socks if 2k doesn't fixes it in a roster update. Same for arm/knee pads which is why i never cared if they got the color right because the color was editable also. atleast they finally got the most important thing to me right, "its gotta be the shoes"

The backboard was longer - going lower, and the baskets were completely different, probably much more stiff and not that flexible as they are today.

Noticed that too right away. I'm almost sure something like that has happened in the past. Must be some older build or something, I'm almost sure I had seen it hapening before. Hopefully it will be fixed.

They are still so bad with accessories. Mid 80's MJ never wore that calf sleeve, he wore a knee pad. And he never had a black forearm band, it was white (and later red). Why do they give him these by default?

This is the way he looked in 2K16; I don't give them the benefit of the doubt on that older build stuff when it comes to Classics... this is likely the Mike we are getting. The reason he has no socks is probably because this "calf sleeve" goes down to the socks and that would look clearly off. I'm pretty sure they can see that the accessory itself is wrong. When you purchase the sleeve in MyCareer, it even looks different; not sure how it looks equipped however.

It's interesting. When 2K11 came out they tried to be meticulous about every minute detail (including accessories); there was a clear effort to get Jordan correct. Many of the devs even spoke passionately about that. Last year they actually come out with a Jordan edition with a half-a**ed version of Mike and of all the historical players improved visually this year, they don't bother to even touch Jordan OR correct the errors (ie: calf sleeve) that were introduced in 2K16. Clearly they still understand he is an attraction, promoting him in vids and such. Maybe they truly believe this Jordan is perfect? Because instead of improving him they just keep showing the same thing in different pics and from different angles.

That's a glitch that's clearly returned from 2k16 - all the classic teams in the 80's/90's have the right rim......apart from Orlando.

Go figure.

Soooooo they can get it down to an art with detailing elbow/wrist bands with decals & text, yet can't get a calf sleeve right?
