Re: Andre Iguodala is a 77 Overall
Box score stats? Really? Get with the times man. His on/off numbers have been historically good. And let's face it. The only other defender in the league that has ever shut LeBron down is Kawhi Leonard.
Anyone who watches him play knows how good he is. I mean he didn't get the Finals MVP for nothing. Come on now. Don't be silly.
No it doesn't there is a new role type thing where for guys like Manu, Crawford, etc. you can set it for where they are your sixth man. One of the devs said this in another thread.Comment

Re: Andre Iguodala is a 77 Overall
Wait... do you even know what my initial point was? All I was saying is that Kyrie was healthy enough to be present for all 6 games of the series. Kyrie being there meant a better distribution of shots... which meant LeBron's usage wasn't ridiculous. Nothing worse than someone taking a single line out your whole point and debating it out of context.Comment

Re: Andre Iguodala is a 77 Overall
If Iguodala has an A in perimeter defense and other defensive categories, and plays like himself, does it really matter what his overall is?Comment

Re: Andre Iguodala is a 77 Overall
If a player plays true in-game and has results that are within statistical norms and who's gameplay mimics his current developmental arc, who cares what his "ranking" or "overall" is?
These types of threads really have no business being made until we see how people perform in 2K16. It might be that an overall of 77 means he is much better than an Iguodala rated 87 in 2K12 or 2K15.
Once we get real experience on the sticks we can provide constructive feedback.Comment

Re: Andre Iguodala is a 77 Overall
What can Iggy not do at a 77 rating that he could do bumped up to a 82?
Of course you actually have no idea because you have spent exactly 0 time playing with him in 2k16Comment

Re: Andre Iguodala is a 77 Overall
The interesting thing about basing numbers off stats (which really applies to any sports game I suppose) is if a player like Iggy (who is a capable player but did less for the sake of the team) then his statistics do not really reflect what he is actually capable of on the court.
Seems like it would make it hard to replicate performances such as the one Iggy had in game 6 of the finals....Comment

Re: Andre Iguodala is a 77 Overall
The funniest thing about all these ratings threads: YOU CAN CHANGE THEM IF YOU DONT AGREE WITH THEM. The people in this thread I'm sure have been playing 2K basketball for years now, yet people keep acting as if the rating can't be tweaked to their liking. Not to mention that 2K consistently edits player ratings throughout the season. All this outrage when you have the ability to make Iggy a 99 if you wanted to.
With that said I do want to give my opinion on this lol. Iggy's rating is fine. Could it be higher? Possibly, but that all depends on what his attributes are currently and how they tie into overalls. On 2K15 he was between 79-82 (I can't remember) and I always picked him up in fantasy myleagues because he played great defense, could hit a 3 here or there, helped move the ball, and finished in the paint. Funny thing is I've been drafting him on 2K since 2K11, when his overall was like 84-86, and I can do the exact same things with him now that I could on previous 2K's. So as long as he plays like Iggy there isn't a need to edit his ratings.
As for Kobe, he is clearly overrated but you can edit him to your liking (which I might do) so it shouldn't be that big a deal.
P.S. Jimmy G. Buckets (G stands for gets) and Iggy are pretty equal when it comes to guarding Lebron, the only difference is that Iggy has more help from the other wing players on his team.Comment

Re: Andre Iguodala is a 77 Overall
What's crazy is, that 77 (which is VERY respectable for a player his age, with the skill set he offers) anyway, that 77 overall rating is probably that high because of his great defense.
His defensive ratings are probably great in 2K16.. But don't act like he's some sort of offensive juggernaut, combined with his D game, because he's not. 77 is a great rating for Iggy.. I swear I hate this ratings crap every year.

Re: Andre Iguodala is a 77 Overall
Iggy has the benefit of playing with Steph/Klay which gives him open looks and the ability to play in a free flowing offense that generates lots of open 3's. Even in his prime I think 82-85 would've been fair for him. He's lost a little of his explosiveness and is an inconsistent shooter so a 77 overall seems pretty fair for someone who isn't great at anything on offense but excels at defense. As everyone else said rating doesn't mean much as long as he plays like himself. Your Aaron brooks example doesn't mean much assuming he's 75 rated as a scoring guard which would be completely fair for him.Arsenal Gunners|Kentucky Wildcats|Cincinnati BengalsComment
