Dude hasn't avg. Over 10 pts n a couple of seasons. He can't shoot FTs. Decent ball handler with a good set shot. Not very good taking off the dribble shots. 77 seems OK to me as long as he is one of better defenders on the game as he should be

As long as his defense is elite, his overall won't bother me. I will be pissed if he starts smashing 20 points per game on me however...

People need to look at individual stats these days....

He still does drop 20 from time to time. So you might see it happen now and then I imagine.

Why do you think he got the MVP? For looking handsome?

Not saying Iggy didn't do a good job (he did great) but LeBron also had no supporting cast at all and was playing 45.7 MPG.

LeBron averaged 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, 8.8 assists per game, which lead BOTH teams.

2K said they are now using a "Hall - Of - Fame" rating scale, so Jordan is the only 99 overall (unless LeBron is too on a retro team) while current LeBron is only 94 overall. Guys like Rodman, etc, are the only ones to 99s in their best categories.

The current AI is more likely to think Igudoala is a comparative trade piece for Aaron Brooks because they're similarly rated if a team needs a backup PG, than it is likely to realize that Iguodala is better than say Kobe in nearly every context in roster building. That's why OVRs matter.
It has been stated multiple times by people on the development team that OVR no longer plays the central role you attribute it to in gameplay/coaching. Both Da_Czar and ScottOG said that the ai in ACE and elsewhere uses individual ratings and tendencies this year.

I'll concede the substitution algorithms because it was explicitly said that this was not touched. I have not heard confirmation or denial either way with regards to the off-season franchise systems other than "they were worked on this year" in the MyGM/League blog discussion. So, I'm not sure about the consequences of OVR on that.

What this means, is that from a gameplay perspective, before we can give any constructive feedback, we need to experience his play in-game.

I do think the legacy substitution systems are going to be a major issue in several modes in 2K16. I predict that this will be a major focus of complaints for a lot of us (maybe even me). How much criticism and of what types will be needed, I don't know yet.

Some mitigation was made with playbook revamps (Da_Czar specifically put in plays dealing with some game/quarter ending situations) but I am 90% sure this band-aid will not be enough and there will be issues in situations dealing with 2-for-1's, late-game/quarter surges, time-outs and general substitutions.

I still believe that it is too soon to even be discussing this, even if I suspect OVR in: substitution, roster, off-season franchise and trade systems might still play too an important role.

Anyone who watches him play knows how good he is. I mean he didn't get the Finals MVP for nothing. Come on now. Don't be silly.
Not a Lebron fan but at the same time nobody shuts him down. Also, with Beds new rating system we will have lower overall numbers.

It dropped 10 points to an 88. THAT was what was what got nerfed.

It's unfortunate how late I am to the party because it seems like I'm the only one who even bothered to check his 2K15 rating - 78 OVERALL.

I can't believe people actually think his overall should be higher. He only won finals MVP because he was the only consistent player on his team that whole series. I mean at one point in time they were talking about LeBron winning it even if he lost. Let's not get carried away he's no Kawhi Leonard.

I see no issue with this. He dropped one point overall from last year to this year. And if the OP is so upset about it he can bump him up in his MyLeague/MyGM or whatever he does.

I never said anything about his dunk rating being low. His rating overall was low and he was pretty much a goat on myteam in the first month. This is a game not a quiz show, not gonna remember every rating like you.

                            1. He wasn't a finals mvp then. If kobe can get a legacy bump Iguodala should get a trophy bump.

                            2. I was ticked off. But I figured 2k15 was so offense oriented that with this year being more about defense and a better balance, it would have changed. Plus they couldn't underrate him anymore because he has a ring plus a finals MVP. But hey, clearly they can.

                            3. My argument is simple. If ANYONE else had won finals mvp. They would've been at least an 80 by default. You can't have guys like Kobe being treated to a whole other set of rules as everyone else.

Exactly what I plan on doing. Still doesn't change the point Stauffer seriously messed this one up. Can't give some guys a bump because of who they were 5 years ago and then ignore what Iguodala did for his team THIS year.
