Yea, maybe they should put in those old Suns and Pacers teams anyways. There's no Barkley or Reggie, but it saves the trouble of having to create a KJ or Majerle, or a Mark Jackson, Dale Davis, or Rik Smits. We'd finally get those retro Suns uniforms we've all been waiting for.

And we can fill in Barkley and Reggie ourselves. Filling in a missing player is pretty easy. Creating a whole team is much, much harder.

I wouldn't call releasing two teams, once a week is "promoting the crap out of these classic teams"

last I checked, their is an actual michael jordan edition of the game (who is on a classic team)

in the past there were bird and magic covers in addition to the jordan covers of the game

2k promotes classic teams man, you'd have to be crazy to say they don't

Your definition of promotion is a hell of a lot different than mine.

Last year, they said NOTHING about classic teams. This year, they've done nothing but say they added more teams and reveal what those teams are.

i'd say the EA sports college video games lawsuit put an end to that practice

I remember MJ being called "Roster Guard" in NBA Shootout 98

I remember the old NBA live games in the late 90's doing the same thing

Here's my question for you. Even if I agreed with your argument, they're promoting MICHAEL JORDAN. Who is actually in the game.

So, if someone sees Michael Jordan on the cover, and says, "omg I love mj, I wanna play with him!"

Seeing him on the cover tells that fan he can play with MICHAEL JORDAN, because that's who 2K is advertising.

They're not advertising the 04 Pistons or Rasheed Wallace are they?

I guess..just makes it kinda pointless to me to add these teams...unless they bring back the cap sharing they used to have. Not everyone's good at creating guys and even then you can clearly see they're not the same..kills the immersion for me tbh.

People are acting like Chauncey, Big Ben, Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince are just bum *** scrubs who had nothing to do with the team.

I love Rasheed as much as the next guy, and i know he was pretty much one of the center pieces for that team, but playing with the rest of them will be pretty cool.

Now the 2000 Blazers, that's a different story.

You use Twitter as an example? That's like quoting Wikipedia for information. Not everyone uses Twitter, bud.

Take the fan who walks into a game store, sees his favorite player of all time Michael Jordan on the cover of a basketball game, and buys that game because he knows he can play with Michael Jordan.

Not everyone keeps up to date with this game on Twitter and message boards. Just cause we do, doesn't make it so for everyone who buys it

As long as we can create and share CAPs (and actually put headbands on them) I think it'll be fine. I'm just glad we got most of the players for each team.
