Lets just hope there isn't a mandatory long cutscene or you can skip it. And it doesnt drop you straight in your first game.

In this video said when playing the game Speed matters A fast player will blow past slower people on the fast break . Also when big men are guard buy a smaller guys in the post its almost a automatic score you can flip it in because of the mis match !

keep all this in mind when making your players !

Hopefully capping these tall SFs will create a more balanced game online. Just because 1 KD exists does not mean we need every MyPlayer to have his very unique abilities.

Height effecting speed does not make any sense.. someone could be tall and still fast.. Who is coming up with these terrible ideas? This is just horrible, if anything weight should be effecting speed not height this is backwards

There are exceptionally fast guys above 6'10 but they are pretty rare. I think the philosophy behind our MyPlayers this year is less about everyone being MJ+Steph Curry+Scottie Pippen and choosing a role to play and having to make sacrifices in certain areas to excel at others.

Lol 7ft is a bit of a stretch but the point is.. that taller should not automatically mean slower

You're right but I think for sake of getting rid of cheese, thats a line most dont mind. Balance is more important than realism sometimes

Anthony Davis is pretty fast. Blake Griffin is pretty fast. Lebron is really fast, but those guys are outliers.

The problem is game balance for the multiplayer modes. A seven footer has an easier time getting a shot off against a smaller defender because height differential is part of the calculation under the hood. If the seven footer can also go end to end like Westbrook, then the online portion of the game is going to ultimately favor size because the drawbacks aren't enough. By limiting speed and agility of created big men, it should mean that little dudes have a chance in the online modes.

Personally, I plan on making a stretch 4, but only if there aren't big hits on the defensive attributes. 2K really needs to release a spreadsheet to show caps on attributes for the different sizes, positions and playstyles before Friday.

This. Checks and Balances make things more rewarding. For example, if I have an SG, and I drive directly at a defensive center it should be a gamble. When Jordan went up on Mutumbo it was a feat, not because of the athleticism, but because Jordan threw it down on one of the best defenders in the game.

Consequently in my example, there are 2 things that happen. I either get a vicious poster dunk, or get the ball smacked into the next zip code. Either of which is fine. This sets up the next drive were I cross over at the point I took off from last time to get him in the air. Or maybe I pass out as everyone tries for a block on the obvious bonehead drive.

Basketball is a conversation. I understand that statement more and more every time I play or watch. When everything is balanced, it becomes a game of give and take. It becomes a chess match of "I did this, their response was this, next time I'll try this or that...".

To use a racing example, this is why NASCAR requires all vehicles in a race weigh at the very least, 3400 pounds.

I personally disagree with that--technological ingenuity should count just as much as the driver's skill, in my opinion--but I can see where the rulemakers are coming from. They want the races to be determined as much by driver skill as possible.

How do I know this? Gran Turismo 5.
