So basically they are taking away all around elite players and making each person specialize a few aspects they can be elite.

Sounds reasonable to me but I see the people against it as they probably don't want those ceilings.

Lol 7ft is a bit of a stretch but the point is.. that taller should not automatically mean slower

We need this online. The park and rec was turning into nothing but teams of 7ft Small forwards.

With a limit guys will have to decide if they want more height or more speed. Maybe we will see more realistic MyPlayers on the court this year.

I think the attributes will fit perfectly as 2K moves away from MyPark being the only place to use your MyPlayer and instead promotes the ProAm. Plus with the great defensive players in the league not everyone is just interested in posters and 3 point shots. I am thinking I will make either an Anthony Davis type player or maybe the Greek Freak. Learning how to use my speed and length instead of being able to rely on moving at 95 is going to be interesting and hopefully online players will learn to appreciate help D and rotations

I am not sure what the settings of the ProAm are but hopefully Superstar/Sim is possible and real basketball can be played.

I've been thinking about all of this too. I'm thinking a 3 and D type wing would be fun. I always seem to create an athletic PG or wing, but I think I'll take a different approach with focus on 3pt, pass, defense and rebounding.

well kg more of that all around player , Rodman all defense , and Ibaka has some offense his biggest thing compared to the other 2 is his strength >
All 3 excellent chooses ! this balance mold here is almost a perfect kg type. if we drop the weight maybe the speed go up some . But what im wondering what if you wanted a pure defensive player i haven't heard any option for this yet its all base around scoring . Dose anyone know if there a way to def higher or a pure defensive build

I'd say You could put KG's photo under the definition of "defence" during their 2 championship runs in Boston. He was an outstanding d-playa back then.

I'm just thinking about a bit role-playing the character. You were always able to become all-around all-star caliber player in 2k. I'm good with doing the dirty work all of them (KG/Rodman/Ibaka) do.

I really hope someone with the game early can post a video or even like a summary of how the caps work for each position and height at the position.

When I get the game Thursday night I wanna play all night and try and get my overall high enough to compete online..but I don't wanna do all that work and watch them cutscenes just to find out my dude is way too slow and not good on defense.

I always make a Point, Wing, and Center...

Honestly might just start out with a center because I know regardless I'm going with an inside scorer, max height, and focusing on nothing but blocking and rebounding.

That way I know I won't restart him lol...

Maybe one of the youtubers will release a video soon about it, or at least some insight on how the caps work. Obviously there has to be some sort of algorithm the game uses just none of us know it haha

^^ Smart move to make a center first. It'll be a lot of trial and error for me on this one. I just want to create a well balanced Shooting Guard from the jump. May have to restart MyCareer a few times but im all for it. I'll definitely be making a big man this year though.

Pretty sure the shooting stats are for balanced Centers and the other stats are for 6'10 balanced SF.

I'd imagine the 6'10 SF's will probably have mid range and 3pt shooting in the 80's atleast.

Yes because attest in live you can see your max when making a player you cant in 2k ! so if 2k or someone with the game can put a cap tutorial that would save 10000's of ppl time

Also we don't know if you capable of making just a great defensive player and ok on offensive? and there caps
