DC, why are you anti individual stats anyways? Like does it matter if I want to upgrade a specific shooting over another?

Why not just make 2 categories? Offense and Defense, and it upgrades everything at once?

The thing about making individual stats, is that someone might value lets say post hook over post fade, or drop step, or whatever... This means not every center that has 20 on inside isn't Hakeem off the bat, sure they might max them all later but some people won't and then when you get online and they try this move it's not so good...

I still believe the attribute system should be based off tendency rather than just upgrading your guy like this...

who cares if they're true centers? they're players who are good at free throws but bad at tree pointers. which is the whole point in the first place. it makes no sense for you to have to improve both attributes at the same time.

Will you be quiet with this "true center" thing? damn. I never said true center someone else did. I said I want to be a ****ing center that can shoot a mid range or a FT without maxing out my damn 3pt shot.

maybe Im jaded because I watched this game get ruined online with EVERYONE hitting 75% of their 3pt shots...

Cant speak for DC, but i am not 'against' individual stats. However if they are going to do the 'buckets' as long as its implemented properly im ok with it. If your play style is back to basket 7 footer. And you upgrade your shooting for free throws. And the end result it a 55 3 point rating? Whats the problem? 35 or 55 YOUR NOT A PERIMETER THREAT.

As for point guards that want to shoot the three well but want to be able to go into the mid range and be money? Or SF that don't want to be elite dunkers but want to have great layup? The bucket system will always have it's limitations

Horford most certainly is a True Center. Paul Millsap plays the PF in Atlanta so Horford is a Center. Anthony Davis can play both so you can argue he's not "true".

80% Free Throw Shooting Centers are rare. Only four qualified last season. However, change that to 75 and you've got 13 . You'd think that's small but that's 13 out of 22 Centers who qualified.

Add Power Fowards to the mix and man you've got yourself a list.

Again this is #BeTheStory if people want to have free throws but no mid they should be able to.

I hear you, and it's a valid point. I guess I just like the ability to focus on attributes more than others. So in this case, if I just wanted to up my FTs, I'm spending a ton of points on it because it's taking 3pt, mid range, etc etc etc into the upgrade.

Same I guess for a PG that wants to just upgrade layups, but doesn't want to upgrade the other stuff in inside.

Exactly. I should be able to create my player to my liking within reason of course. But if I want to make a small forward who's only got like 70 speed but 90 dunk & 90 vertical I should be able to. This bucket system doesn't allow it.

Agreed with you there but a simple wix would be moving dunking to the athletics category then i can still make my larry bird archtype and have decent layups and inside scoreing, without posterizing defenders. Also POST GAME NEEDS ITS OWN CATEGORY
