I'm noticing a huge amount of free agents retiring in the off-season. Even young players. In the 2nd off-season, I'm seeing guys like Jimmer Fredette, A.J. Price, Ray McCallum, Chris Singleton, Shane Larkin, Seth Curry etc.. All retire.

Re: NBA 2k16 MyLeague: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Found a bit of a bug in the Generated Draft Classes which will probably save draft class makers a lot of time.
Seems if you edit a players tendency and click accept changes and return, the value of which you changed it too does not save.
For Example, when I changed a generated rookie Shot Mid-Range Left tendency from 56 to the position average of 3, and clicked accept changes and return, then check the value of that tendency (which should be 3 of course) it is now listed at 24...
At this point of time, i'd say don't waste your time editing draft classes just yet, and maybe hold off on starting MyLeagues just yet!... just a friendly heads up!
Here is a video of what I mean
<iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pLMIbJTrZW0" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="420"></iframe>
Ok, poor quality video, but the best i can do at this point of time!
So as you can see at the 40 second mark the Cam Johnstone has a Shot Close Left tendency of 33, at 1:45 you can that i have moved the value to 7 and continue to click accept and return, but when i check the value again at 2:10 we can see that the tendency has been changed to a 67.
Once again sorry for poor quality video!
The distance tendencies (shot close, shot mid range, shot three, etc.) that aren't combined with an angle are last year's tendencies that determine a player's preference in shot distance. Those save properly after being edited.
The simulator first evaluates the distance, and then looks through all the hot spot tendencies for that distance to determine the probability of the angle.
So until that's fixed, you might not get the simulated shot locations and shot charts to be perfect(tm), but they shouldn't affect your overall experience that much, especially for games played with the gameplay engine.Last edited by Leftos; 09-26-2015, 08:10 PM.Eleftherios "Leftos" Aslanoglou

How many free agents are left after the retirements? We try to trim the free agent pool to around 250 free agents, 50 per position, and we do have logic to determine which players are more likely to stay in the league, but there might be some further tuning required.Eleftherios "Leftos" Aslanoglou

Re: NBA 2k16 MyLeague: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Is it possible to switch user/cpu status for a team? For example, I want to play a franchise with the knicks, but I need to first control some of the other teams to relocate/rebrand them. Is it possible to switch these teams back to cpu after? I don't see an option to change this after I initially pick.Comment

Re: NBA 2k16 MyLeague: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
I wish there was a way for MyLeague to start with teams already having their target lists? Like KD being #1 on Wizards list? When I started up 3 times, LeBron was on their list.
Other than the Wizards targeting KD, do we know any other teams that have made it be known who they will target next summer?Concrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

Re: NBA 2k16 MyLeague: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Yes, the tendencies that combine distance and angle are hot spots mostly used for simulated games. The fact that they reset to different values when edited is a known issue that we're looking to fix. It's definitely unintended, but they don't affect all that much.

Does this affect custom classes or only the generated ones?
If you created a draft class from scratch, does this work around the issue?Comment

Really liking all the additions to MyLeague as far as all the options to set certain things to Auto and Manuel, You can basically run a 30 team control MyLeague and pick and choose what you want the CPU to handle and what you want to handle yourself!...
It's pretty cool having the CPU throw up trades between themselves in a 30 team control, but sometimes it's the prompt will come up "do you approve of the following trade"...But you cannot see the teams current roster to work out if it will be a good trade or not, sometimes the negotiate trade prompt comes up and you can see the rosters, but it can be a challenge to remember every teams current roster!.
Currently doing some test sims, assist numbers seem a touch high, but glad rebounding and blocks are finally on point!. Although the Blockbuster trade slier has been removed, I'm yet too see a big trade go down at the trade deadline!...that could change tho!
Team Relocation is something i'm yet too really dig into, I think it's a really excellent feature and the ability for the community to upload pics, is a bonus!,tho I hear there s only a limit of 3 rebrands possible per MyLeague!...So choose wisely!, but I can't wait too change the uniforms and court of my Toronto Raptors!
The team Intel is a nice addition, I don't know how much it plays into the logic of teams deciding who too target but as the season went on the status of the teams changed more in line with a real perspective of what that team should be trying to achieve!.Comment

The hot spot tendencies for a certain distance (I.e. all the angle specific tendencies for that distance) are relative to each other. So 1, 3, 4 is the same as 10, 30, 40. They don't drive how much a player shoots, only the simulated angle.Eleftherios "Leftos" Aslanoglou

Re: NBA 2k16 MyLeague: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
I'm playing MYLeague with Wolves. Right now team chemistry is 80% but still Rubio and Bjelica having thier rating droped in the game time by 3. Why is it so? Their personal morale is above 75 too.
And some players have different FT rating every game too, some games Towns has 84 and some games it's 77. It's not because he is tired, but I don't know why it's like this.Comment

Re: NBA 2k16 MyLeague: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
This is a very specific question but it's really important to me, almost a deal breaker, so please anyone answer!
How is the offseason in MyLeague actually improved?
Is the dreaded 13 day FA signing period still there?
Can you make trades at any point during the offseason?

Re: NBA 2k16 MyLeague: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Ex. I relocated the Knicks and the only sounds that converted over with the move was the sound after a score and sounds after fouling. Each team walked up court in silence and no crowd chants. Can this be patched to keep the arena music n defense chants etc bcus 2ks version of MSG was rocking until i relocated a couple of blocks downtown lol
