Hopefully the Xbox patch helps with the court teammate defensive awarenessI am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"... -

Is there a way to do faster passes? They are always so slow. John Stockton did really those really fast one handed passes into the paint and that isn't possible in 2k. For some reason the ball seems to fly so slow, like a balloon sometimes. How do I do a quick pass?Comment

You could bump up the gameplay speed a little to get faster passes, it will also speed up player movement and it speeds up the clock a tad as well, or it use to anyway. It basically speeds everything up as you will see ball shot get to the rim much quicker, which is the 1 reason why I don't mess to much with it, because it looks ridiculous, but bumping it up a tad will get faster passing.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Anyway, my first trip to the NBA finals is partially ruined by the fact that the Warriors lost to the Suns (in 4 Games!) in the eastern conference finals. So my Cavs are now playing the Phoenix Suns in the NBA finals... awesomeComment

My Park Experience after patch 3
I play at the xbox one so i don't know how it is but i heard we get now 3 second in the paint and for a screen now fouls ?
I played alot with my guys and i like my park at the moment but i personally find a 3 second call or to get a foul for a screen not really realistic because it's a park .. If you play outside in a park ... there are not 3 second in the paint or for a screen so i don't understand why 2k made it with patch 3Comment

The only people who have a problem with these changes are cheesers.
These have been some of the most requested changes since MyPark started.
Blame you and your kind for forcing 2K to do this. I'm not mad at them at all for trying to clean up MyPark.Comment

Re: My Park Experience after patch 3
It's camping and abusing game mechanics. 2K have fixed a game mechanic that they deemed was being abused and should have been fixed. Instead of moaning, develop some intelligence and adapt.
It actually takes some form of basketball IQ to be in the correct positions to grab rebounds over your opponent and use your team mates and passing to create open shots.Football: Manchester United

Re: My Park Experience after patch 3
No, you are wrong sir. Taking advantage of something that a game is not programmed to deal with correctly is called an Exploit.
Previously the game was programmed so that setting a pick in the paint gave the offensive rebounder an unfair advantage as the defender could not get position due to the pick animation.
This creates an unfair advantage. That means the person using this tactic is exploiting a programming error. That makes it cheating (most major games will actually flat out ban you for things like this. Its part of the EULA).
The moving screens, meh. They are something that you can deal with. They are considered a "frowned upon" tactic as you're taking advantage of something most players can't deal with (A good team will be calling switches). It was dealt with to level the playing field.
Do we want to talk about how previously, zig zagging for a pull up was also a "Strategic tactic"? I'd suggest we don't, since it's been said by developers that it worked mainly because the defense was programmed in a way that it's reactions were more sluggish compared to the offense. Taking advantage of something that creates imbalance is...you guessed it, an exploit.Female Russell Westbrook.

Re: NBA 2K16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
Quite a few things..
Offensively:
Understanding your offensive playbook. You don't need to utilize every play in the PlayBook but at least understand what the plays do based off their names. Me personally I would have 2 plays for my primary scorers I would use for each of them. As soon as I can get the ball (non transitional) I would set a player going down the court so by the time I reach half court there pretty much all set. But just because I call a play for someone does it mean I need to finish with that player. Also understanding hotspots & utilizing and taking advantage of mismatches. I enjoy playing with the Knicks & Carmelo Anthony is a beast on the block especially when you have a smaller guard against him. So as soon as I see the mismatch I am usually set up a play for Anthony to get down on the block & take advantage of it. I've gotten into the habit of using my size of moves to get past defenders. Once you understand what size of move you're about to perform that is easier for you to break out of it and take advantage of the weaker defender on a drive. This is something that I practice a lot so that way I have an understanding of which move I'm going to be able to use. I think it's something that's overlooked by a lot of players who are having trouble driving to the hole.
Defensively:
This is where I was having a lot of difficulty. As I've mentioned before I was playing against the Cavs to test my skills & Kyrie Irving and LeBron James are very tough to stay in front of. I would often play one on one match ups on blacktop mode to work on my footwork and defensive positioning & it helped out in team play. When it comes to penetrators I like to bump them & get up on them to take some time away from them on the shot clock. Once the shot clock goes down its very likely that they are going to try to take the shot so this is where I like to kind of back off and maybe play off ball defense & I let my computer control teammate to stay on them & I will come and help based off the move that they were going to make. I would have to pick on what it was I'm willing to give up on defense whether it's the outside shot or drive to the hole a majority of the time I would prefer the shooter to shoot outside so that way it gives me a better chance on getting a rebound & them a better chance of possibly missing. You must be able to learn how to play on ball & off ball defense. You are not going to be able to play just one the entire time switching up is important. Also understanding what it is your opponent can do against you for example.. Kevin Love is a very good outside shooter but not very good at driving to the hole so a lot of times when he has the ball I would play on ball defense vs him & I would push up on him the force the drive. Be careful though because even a ball players such as Kevin Love will be able to drive on you if you're too aggressive & overly aggressive. Me I like to force the player & to help forcing them to one side or the other. Wherever I will have help I will force a player to that side is soon as he crosses halfcourt taking away half of the court.
I know that was pretty lengthy but it's just a few things I picked up on help me get better.. But it's also a lot of patience and practice that comes in hand with it. I was so ready to give up on his game until eventually it all just kind of click & it makes it worthwhile game to have now. I haven't receive the Xbox one patch yet but I'm hoping it doesn't ruin my experience thus farLast edited by Whaaaazuuuuup; 11-16-2015, 08:53 AM.I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" Also.. When putting pressure on the perimeter you don't want to apply pressure on a guy who is too far away.. Only apply pressure on a shooter who is within their shooting range.. A lot of times they would like to take some time to set up an offense and then once they don't have anything to start moving & closely that's when you start applying pressure & getting ready for them to drive and for helpI am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" Re: My Park Experience after patch 3
How do you know that guy is a cheeser lol. Cheesers will still flourish regardless of changes made. You guys were so quick to count out cheesers before the release of 2k16 but from the looks of things they are doing just fine. I do agree with the OP. You guys consistently cry about a game not being realistic. Realistically, there are no illegal screens or 3 second calls in street ball. Screens are abused (especially in 2v2) but if you know how to properly rotate and switch on picks then it can be countered (you wont stop it completely but you can slow it down). The same thing with the rebounding cheese. You can still get position and box out someone who does it. It's all about timing and position. I like the idea of folks not being able to grab their nuts under the basket but adding 3 in the key is iffy IMO. As far as screens go all 2k had to do with buff Pick Dodger or nerf Brick Wall. Regardless of changes I think good players will make adjustments and still do fine.Comment
