Re: NBA 2K16 - The Little Things

Had a situation last night where I drove the lane with Curry and he must have twisted his ankle or something because mid layup animation he throws the ball away in pain and begins to limp and falls to the ground in pain while the other team took the ball he threw away down the other side of the court, I was so shocked at how beautiful the sequence of events was I went straight to replay to look at what I just seen.

Craziest part about it was Curry didn't leave the game, where last year a timeout would automatically be called after a player injury but this year the game continued and Curry just had the injury logo above his head every time I was in control of him. And in true Curry fashion the next time he touched the ball he swished a 3 and I swear the crowd was even louder to show a sign of respect for him toughing out his injury. 2k really out did themselves with this game I could probably share a story like this of what I see in this game everyday.

I think I saw someone say this before. But I heard players shouting out "Durant Durant... watch the screen" Right after I called a play. And the player that was covering him started yelling at his teammate as he ran back on offense. This was in a user vs user game. That was cool!

It looks so real, I was playing the game and I began to question whether this was fantasy or reality.

I'm a traditionalist in NBA 2k games so I don't play much online or create Fantasy drafts to have crazy teams or whatever, I just like to play MyLeague with the current teams and really try to play the closest to the team I'm controlling.

I also like to practice and scrimmage, and good lord, I love how there's constance talking while you're scrimmaging. I was doing one with the Grizzlies the other day and it was incredible. Like "Watch our for Conley!" and "MARC!" after Gasol shot a jumper.

And the constant yelling for screens, to rotate, Allen missing open layups lol... so realistic

I've been playing with the Heat and Chris Bosh will purposefully trail the action for the pull-up 3 pointer. Such a nice touch!

Re: NBA 2K16 - The Little Things

This was probably mentioned already but this is the first time I saw it:

I played a game last night and let the intros play. I was the away team (Pelicans) and the randomized intro chosen was player intros. They did the away team's intros before the home teams, just like in real life. The lights were still on and the players set up their own little run through. Right after the away intros were done the lights shut off and they started the intros for the home team. It was so awesome.

Also, I got called for a flagrant in that game. That was the first time that had happened to me. It was crazy to see. Jrue hit Lillard high on a floater attempt and Dame went flying. Dame got up and acted like his usually self with the smug face, punchable face, while AD and Jrue were pleading to refs. The ref looked over to the scorer's table and issued a flagrant 1, much to the dismay of AD and Jrue.

Re: NBA 2K16 - The Little Things

If your the away team and get a overturned buzzer beater shot in your favor the crowd will boo loudly, even heard one fan say Ref you suck!

Love that you don't have to change settings for all star game activities. I've been playing my career until I'm ready to start a my league and have been invited to the rising star game and all star game. I've kept all my settings on normal superstar simulation.

The players are playing freely, refs aren't calling fouls at the rate of a regular game. The commentator team even brought up how the rising star and all star games are easy work for the refs, as they don't have to blow the whistle as much since players are not playing physical and are just out there having fun.

hey just so everyone knows, I took about 200hrs to construct a legends roster. I worked super hard on this thing. I'm going to be filming a momentous trailer for it this weekend. please search my roster by "content name," and the roster is called "chise." I labeled it as such because it's prime for associations and will make for great games against friends or for online associations as well as offline! please let me know what you all think. thanks a bunch! btw this is for PS4 users. hope you enjoy it! the season is right around the corner!

In MyLeague, a defensive minded coach might actually start a lower rated defensive player over a higher rated offensive player.. Love that.

I really enjoy this game, but one small problem I've noticed is the time it takes to inbound the ball at times after scores

I made a particularly nasty dunk in MyCareer once and my guy in replay clearly mouthed foul language in celebration. 2K goes all out.
