It's on manual. My thought was that when you take the screen instead of going under, over or ice, ace triggers the built in team specfic rotation bc theoretically you got screened. Or maybe its just poor d awareness from a few players...I'll try turning ace off and see what happens

Re: How do you guys use defensive settings?

I wish there were global defensive settings called "no switch" and "no help."

I just want all 4 of my CPU defenders to stay at home on their man at all times without giving up backdoor cuts. You can put everyone on "deny," but then that leaves your defense extremely vulnerable to backdoor cuts. And if you put them on "tight," then they tend to over help and over switch, leaving shooters wide open on the perimeter.

Most of the time it works for me. Be sure to also set "switch all" in switching rule. However it sometimes happens what you just described and I don't know why.

Anyone absolutely HATES the new matchups system? It's so awkward to use, couldn't they just leave it like it was in 2K14 (or like it is in timeouts).
I don't see the point to change it because it worked so well before, now you have to scroll every player and it's annoying!

Ah good call. I left the switching rule on auto bc I only wanted to switch 1-4. This makes sense. Preciate it

Re: How do you guys use defensive settings?

Does anyone have any defensive setting tips against OKC using Memphis? I'm playing them in the playoffs (currently down 0-2). Jeff Green is injured and the only trade I made all year was Jarell Martin and Jordan Adams for Tayshaun Prince and Adreian Payne. OKC didn't really make any roster moves throughout the season. Any tips would be appreciated.

Agree with the statement 10 fold! im not sure why ai automatically helps when a player on the opposing team drives

Amazing thread here guys! I can never ever read the entire thread, every comment, good stuff good stuff. I suggest we can write down some of the ways we set to play D against whatever team here so that others can take in consideration of how the setting can be and then try them out the night after.

Re: How do you guys use defensive settings?

I also realized that (could be wrong though) having players auto in defensive setting is not a bad idea too they are smart enough to know what to do, they can read the player they are guarding and make adjustments themselves, but some other bad defensive players who will most likely make mistakes, then they will have to be assigned to roles so they are clear on what to do, and not having themselves figure what the decision needs to be at that defensive moment. Am I right on this?
