Watching the Bucks right now, at Indiana. Bucks are wearing their plain black socks.

But in 2K, I'm not only forced to wear white socks with my away unis, but I'm forced to wear the white Stance socks.

      This is pathetic.

You know, in lue of the ignorance of completely ignoring the community that has been asking for these gear updates year in, year out is just baffling, but in terms of improving it, we miss talking about that because we constantly have to focus on what should be in the game already.

I saw a post someone had that talked about the gear that's been in 2k over the years and how it's been removed and honestly...that's just stupid. Gear, layering, is just something they shouldn't have to worry about, we should have collected a mass of accessories over the years, I don't care if NBA players wear them anymore or not, it's OUR player, if I want to bring back and 'outdated' accessory, so be it.

I also think, because you notice some players wear a sleeve one night, don't wear it another, wear a headband one night, don't wear it another. I like that they have you customize your away from your home, but sadly, that's not enough, I've always thought they should do a Gear 1 and Gear 2 option, something that would randomly cycle between the two in games, and sometimes I'll come out wearing sleeves and a headband (Gear 1) and sometimes I'll have no headband and just sleeves (Gear 2) instead of having to go in and edit that for myself and every nba player with each changing game.

glad this thread was made, gear means ALOT to me, I have HARDLY played 2k16, because I went to the store, saw the SAME accessories missing, saw that we had even LESS options than last year and I just pop in to check for hopeful updates, I've even considered turning my game back in and just waiting for 2k17 ALL BASED ON ACCESSORIES. So yes, Accessories matter.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I've been following the thread for awhile, thought I'd finally comment.

It just baffles me how 2K can continue to ignore this. I can say all kinds of bad things and what I want to do, but let's be honest, I'm shocked and hurt. Shocked that something that the community has screamed for since 2k14 current gen, is ignored, and worse yet, we have LESS. I don't ever understand taking AWAY things. Hurt, because something so simple, that we've asked for could have brought me mounds of joy with your game and you outright ignored all of us. I don't care what limitations you came across, what bugs or glitches, after seeing your FAN base was asking for headbands and compression pants, you couldn't have done everything in your power to make sure we had them?

and it's almost a slap in the face because they acknowledge the fact of how important customization is with all the gear and clothes you can throw on your myplayer, then turn around and limit the ingame gear you can wear.

Re: Official NBA 2K16 Accessories Thread

This game is just badly coded. They can't add anything without removing something else, or causing a game-breaking glitch. You want the sweat effect to work? Ok, but then we'll have to remove animations in-between free-throws. Different body-types? Sure thing, but you can't choose a different bodytype for your MyPlayer, 'cause then we'd have to adjust all these wonderful Halloween-themed clothes. And don't get me started on the highlights... This game is so fragile, it's just not using memory in an effective way.

I've said it before but I'll say it again, one adjustment that would streamline the roster editing process is to completely remove accessory colors from the rosters. At the jersey selection screen let's just include separate color sliders for headbands, arm sleeves, leg sleeves, socks, shoe colorways. This makes too much sense not to do. If 2K remains hell-bent on keeping the current, very much flawed system, then add more color options for MyPlayers for use in MyCareer games. And no, I'm not talking about a random assortment of colors, I mean white (actual white, not grey), black (again, actual black, not grey), team color 1, team color 2, team color 3. The fact that 2K base jersey team colors on shoe colorways is just another way the current system f**** itself in the a**, which means you can't for example use a yellow headband and a wine sleeve when you play as a Cav. Or why your player has an orange headband while the rest of your Knicks teammates wear blue ones.

This farse has been going on for a few years now and I firmly believe it's time to right the wrongs. It shouldn't be too difficult to allow layering of accessories since at present we're only allowed one body-type. That, and more team color options for headbands and sleeves, are patchable additions. Just make it happen.

2K added more sock options via an update, still nothing on compression pants.

                  Hello everybody.

Do you know if now your player has correct gear color in MyCareer mode?
I started new career about two or three weaks ago. I'm on the CAVS now. My teammates wear yellow headband away and my player has wine one. And if i wear alternative or another jerseys (not home or away) i have another gear color too, for examle with yellow jerseys my teammates have white and i have yellow gear color.

Do you know if 2k did change it now?

For MyCareer NBA games there's only one team color option, and usually it's the dominant color of that jersey. It's really decided in the roster, where 2K makes the dominant color of the shoe colorways team color one (which is why, for example, Spurs home unis have black as team color 1, as they wear predominantly black shoes in the 2K roster). This is obviously a messed up system and it will continue to ensure that MyPlayers' accessories clash with that of their teammates.

In what is perhaps the most...unusual move so far concerning accessories, it looks as if they removed the black/white color option for the adidas Techfit kneepads for MyPlayer if you don't have them equipped already. They only left us with the team color option now...

It's definitely a small detail that can be missed if you're not looking for it, but still.... WTF 2K?

Are we ever going to get back some regular plain shorts for park? Why they take those out and keeps jeans and jorts in I'll never understand. And where are the practice unis for park mode?

On a plus note, seems as though the team jerseys have had the colour improved. My trailblazers jersey now doesn't look like it's been washed 100000 times more than the shorts.

Minor thing but the Jordan leg sleeve is too long. It is patterned after the half calf leg sleeve but should be patterned after the mid calf leg sleeve.

In 2k last stream It was asked if compression pants are coming back and Ronnie said yeah but I couldn't exactly understand what he said because LD2K talked over him. It sounded like he said next week but Im not sure. Also, Im not understanding why Im still seeing teams wear their home stance design socks for away games. It look stupid when teams like the Hawks wear their black jerseys with the white yellow and red socks. It been a few in game updates and still no change.
