for relocation:

For the cities listed, give us some team options templates that will be announced by the announcers.

For example:

If we move a team to Seattle...give us the Sonics name and uniform/floor templates. Maybe 3 or 4 per city. Also allow us to create our own name and uniforms if we so choose.

Also allow expansion instead of relocation. Could be in the MYLEAGUE. Still has to be approved by the board of directors. Have expansion draft.

Also gotta add, the option to invite a friend to play co-op games in our MyLeague/MyGM save. Would be cool to play franchise games with a friend.

Davez...first I'd like to thank you for an amazing first year reboot of myleague online. It is stable, functional, and robust. With that said, here are my wishlists for myleague online 2k17.

DURING THE SEASON:

Practice play mode should be embedded in this mode along with scrimmage, post play play practice, and free throw practice, and free style practice. Rosters evolve over time in OAs and having to reassemble your roster outside of the mode in order to practice plays with them is untenable.

Allow updated rosters to be imported at any point in the season to keep the first year season current with the real nba. One of the main reasons for restarts is the temptation to use the most updated rosters that account for progression and regression of players.

Allow for progressive fatigue, injuries (number of games), training, etc.

Allow admins to override or reset injuries. A season ending injury could be modified, lessened or reset, depending on lg house rules.

Allow for admins to control the FA pool. All FA pool player signings and releasing should be in the admins discretion. When a league member wants to release and sign a player during the season, the admin should have final say period. As of now, it's simply a wild wild west of first come first serve with FA pool signings with no structure. If player contracts are in, which I assume, make player signings subject to player morale of "play for winner, play for money, etc." But the final allocation of the FA pool player should be subject to the admins approval or dissaproval.

A companion website to myleague online in the vein of the pre 2k11 online league community sites, where live gametracking, standings and stats, uploaded highlights, and league content articles can be hosted. This is great for immersion in addition to the social media tracker and ticker. If its not possible, a consolation prize would be a live game tracking hub within the myleague online menus circa the 2k12-14 last gen OAs.

OFFSEASON:

Step 1:

Draft Lottery held during conference finals of the playoffs. Make it so that it has some kind of presentation during pregame of the conference finals for immersion if possible.

Step 2:

Allow custom draft class imports or the ability to use generated draft classes. More customization the better. Separate the league roster and the custom draft class roster; and yet allow both to be imported.

Rookie Draft after playoffs conclude. DO NOT ALLOW FOR ANY AUTO ADVANCES. PLEASE MAKE IT MANUAL. In the past the auto advance in OAs would glitch and corrupt the league, preventing the continuation of the franchise to subsequent seasons.

Allow admin to set up a time/appointment in the league menus for the rookie draft. Make it noticeable and visible like the current notification pop ups in myleague online when the admin makes changes to the league settings, promotes, demotes, etc.

Allow admin to pause and resume the draft at any time to account for absences, no shows, etc.

Allow admin to make picks for members in the event of a no show.

Step 3:

Team Options - Each lg member gets to decide whether to pick up team options.

Player options - Players decide to opt in or out depending on random generator simulation, player morale, etc.

Retirement - Retirements announced in social media panel/ticker.

FREE AGENCY:

DO NOT MAKE THIS RANDOM; DO NOT RUSH THE PROCESS in terms of who signs when and where. In the past OAs, there were 5 to 10 second intervals for offering contracts to free agents and it felt like blur. Instead, have all teams submit free agent bids to the admin for all players that are free agents. Having cap space and making highest bid alone should determine who signs where. In league with human users, there should be nothing subjective about this. It should be based purely and objectively based on math, i.e., cap space and money. When the highest bid is final, the admin can award the the player to the team. In the event of tie breakers, the a bidding war will ensue until someone taps out based on available cap space.

To avoid the confusion of leagues that have cpu teams and human teams conflicting with this proposal, we should options of creating user only leagues as well user/cpu leagues.

CAMPS:

Keep the various camps for improving player attributes, i.e. big man offense, shooting, rebounding, etc.

SUMMER LEAGUE:

Offline myleague has it and so should the online portion.

In the event that these suggestions cannot be implemented and the team goes for simplicity and stability; simply allow for the OFFLINE myleague rosters to be exported, saved, and then imported into myleague online after simming seasons to account for progression and regression. The draft could be handled via custom draft class imports. And free agency done by highest bidder/cap space and admin adjucation of the process.

• Ability to adapt Rookie Draft Roster (custom rook roster) out of the leagues own created Rooks for Draft in off-season

• Having Pre, Half Time and Post game Broadcast shows just as like offline
• On the court interviews and tv like interviews just as offline
• Team Chemistry and Player Roles
• Practice Set Plays
• Practice challenges with players that can end either way POSITIVE/NEGATIVE (Make it hard!)
• All-Star Weekend in which game we can have All-Star Team Up game where 10 best users can get to play together that game. After being voted etc.
• If possible all other all-star interactions as well with voted players and users such as Talents, Slam-Dunk and 3PT Contest

Outside of the MyLeague Online

• An api to be able to use Leagues Data to websites of our own. Or ability to export all data to the outside world with any of the possible data keepers(excel to everything)
• MyNba2k16 App to have MyLeague Online fetaures where coaches can make moves etc. strategically and keep track

My Big Three to add would be:

1) Sign and Trades
2) The Waiting Period Rules

-No free agent signed in the offseason can be traded until December 15 of that year or until three months have passed (whichever comes later), a rule that prevents teams from signing free agents with the intent of using them strictly as trade fodder. For draft picks this moratorium lasts 30 days.
-If teams acquire a player in a trade, they are allowed to trade that player straight-up for another individual player immediately. However, if teams wish to package that player with another and make a trade, they must wait 60 days before doing so.

If a team trades away a player with a higher salary than the player they acquire in return (the deal hereafter referred to as "Trade #1"), they receive a Traded Player Exception, also known as a "Trade Exception". Teams with a trade exception have up to a year in which they can acquire more salary in other trades (Trade #2, #3, etc.) than they send away, as long as the gulf in salaries for Trade #2, #3, etc. are less than or equal to the difference in salary for Trade #1. This exception is particularly useful when teams trade draft picks directly for a player; since draft picks have no salary value, often the only way to get salaries to match is to use a trade exception, which allows trades to be made despite unbalanced salaries. It is also useful to compensate teams for losing free agents, as they can do a sign and trade of that free agent to acquire a trade exception that can be used later. Note this exception is for single player trades only, though additional cash and draft picks can be part of the trade.

Oh and like someone else mentioned I'd love to see the ability to trade draft right during the draft.

I haven't became a MLO user yet and probably won't until everything for offline is added online, but this is a great list. I especially like the data website idea (for both online and offline). I'd love to have my own 2k Dynasty thread in the Dynasty HQ here. However, most of the time when I'm home I'd rather be playing the game than writing stories, tracking stats, etc.... but if you give me the same ability to do that stuff during work, then I'm ALL IN

One thing that I would like to see some sort of waiting or pending period for Free Agency in MLO that way commissioners don't have to create their own FA rules or keep up with a Waiver Wire. A possibility I thought of was having Free Agency be open as soon as you begin the league. If that was the case, then each user could make their bids during that period (while everyone is signing in and before the first advance to the first bank of games). That way everyone can bid on who they want and each FA can make their own decision based on which ever factors they choose (money, playing for a winner, etc.)

Then during the season maybe have an options to have FA signing set to whenever you advance, as well. So say that you have a Flex Schedule where the league advances after every four game. Well, during the time you can make bids, but you don't actually find out if you've won until the league advances. I know that isn't a perfect system, however I think something needs to be in place.

I'd be interested to hear what ideas other MLO players have in regards to initial, midseason and even offseason free agency, as well. I'd love to see anything over a "first come, first serve" system.

One small idea: any way to include transactions history in player cards?

You know trades, released,contracts, exercised options, etc? Team names, names of players in the trades, and so on?

Would kind of add life and history to the modes.

Most has already been covered but can we please get accurate dates? Draft Lottery should happen during the Conference Finals instead of the offseason and the Draft starts in July which pushes back free agency to mid-July when the Draft is the LAST Thursday of June and Free Agency starts on July 1st.

Also, can we get the real Summer League courts(Magic's practice court and the one in Vegas)?

Not sure if licensing would allow this, but adding a lot more college teams and making those teams playable in a season or league mode outside of the My Career mode would be awesome. Same thing with Euroleague teams. Why not make it an all-inclusive basketball game under the NBA umbrella?

Well, this is a wish list, so I'm going to post a complex wish

I suggested Euro-stashes already, as a means to give the draft more relevance outside of the lottery. I think it goes without saying that the deeper the draft/player development process is, the better the whole game mode is.

One idea would be to incorporate some version of the Bust/Bench/Star% model (created by Layne Vashro, I believe). Right now in the game, we know how good a player currently is and how good they could potentially become. We don't know how likely a player is to actually reach their potential...all else equal, two players that are equal in current ability and potential have exactly the same likelihood of reaching their potential.

There are some guys in the league who have a high likelihood of being total busts, but also have a chance to become something special...one example would probably be Zach LaVine. These types of players--and others--are represented reasonably well in 2k currently (I know work has been put in to make the potential/development process more realistic, I don't mean to discredit it) but I feel like there's still another dimension that we're missing for realism. Especially with the increased ability to micromanage our prospects' development process, there doesn't feel like enough surprise and intrigue when it comes to drafting and developing prospects. This is one (relatively vague, I know) idea to help with that.

GM Mode Essentials:

Promises that can be kept.

Price changes, you don't get any at the start of the year anymore except for ones you pick when leveling up once in a while.

Not being able to change court images/colors/jersey colors til the following year after a second rebrand would be nice so I'm not stuck with future jerseys with an old team.

Staff hiring like it used to be. I can't fire someone without the game being nearly broken as it wont allow me to hire someone else.
