    But my answer is YES.
It DOES sound realistic to me.

Most NBA-level ballers can shoot 90-100% layups. (Uncontested)

And these same NBA-level ballers can shoot roughly 90% from midrange, like 12-15 feet away. (Uncontested)

Yes - they can stand there and sink 9 out of 10 shots from midrange. They shoot straight in, or hit 'bank shots' off the glass. Again & again.

But when these very same NBA-level ballers who can sink midrange jumpers 'like water' take just ONE STEP beyond the arc, with their toes on the 3-point line..... Their accuracy drops off a CLIFF. And they shoot around 30-35% (Uncontested)

Yes - that's WHY the shot is worth 3-points.
Because it is tough to hit consistently.
    Even with nobody near you.
No! How can you blatantly lie like that and expect not to get called out on it? The best shooter in the game only shoots 50% on wide open 2-point jumpshots (defender 6+ feet away)!

In this game if you get a guy 4-feet away you can make 90-100% of those shots!

Hoo boy, brick city here we come. Guess it's time to start running mindlessly into the paint against goliaths, hoping for a foul call that'll never come, meanwhile getting my **** swatted into another dimension. Oh well.

I'm also going to mention the fadeaways or dribble pull up from midrange. They just go left and right and as soon as they have a little space, they do a fadeaway that is so easy to get a green release with and make it 9 times out of 10. I don't know if you see a lot of this on Pro Am (I haven't played since I can't play with people I usually run with since it's region locked atm), but you will definitely see this getting abused on park and especially stage.

"Play better Defense", yea try playing defense on the Stage where the majority of the people there know the quickest crossovers to left right with and abuse the midrange/dribble pull up animations.

Not sure I've had this issue (mid-range cheese)... I use the real shot % option vs. the timing based option.

I'm PRAYING its for online/park only. If they tweaked this for offline and ruined shooting, I'll be playing with no patches or updated rosters this year.

Whenever something is "adjusted" with his series, it's too extreme one way or the other.

Does stamina and fatigue play a role at the park? Does it affect shooting or is it specifically based on Shot Timing. It appears as though My Park and Pro Am is more on the arcade side than SIM. It may be purposely done to give the casual gamer a bone due to MyLeague and MyGM being heavy on SIM.

Never saw a problem with stamina or fatigue at the park, and that's mostly due to the fact how quickly the games end.

I've been playing mostly myTeam/Play Now and haven't run across this "mid-range cheese."

I'd love to play someone that actually takes midrangers. Everyone I've played just tries to turbo their way to the paint.

"Midrange Cheese" does not exist in 5v5 gameplay. You can't go left and right with a player and then shoot a midrange in a 5v5 setting, there is simply not enough space to do this. I think majority of us (or I am at least) are talking about the midrange cheese fest at the park/stage.

I hope these "tweaks" being made are extremely minor. I won't complain about a minor nerf to the mid-range jumper, and small buff to the layup percentage, but I think the 3 point shot was perfectly fine where it was. I think the skill gap in 3 point shooters was wide enough to make it a specialty rather than a given, like past games. Everybody shouldnt be able to drain a 3 at a crazy percentage.

Also, my friend got limitless range, and when we were up big, he was testing the range, so what he did was walk up to about 4 feet from the 3 point line, and jack up a 3. Amazingly, it was going in at about a 50% rate. Which gave us a good laugh because the guys on defense stood at the 3 point line, playing smart, and giving him the long shot, so when it was falling we felt a little bad, because there was nothing the defender should have done differently.
                          End Rant lol

Curry doesn't take a lot of mid range jumpers. Would you mind posting CP3s mid range stats. I agree with you but CP3 is the best from mid and takes a lot more. Posting his stats would help further your argument.

CP3 is 62.7% uncontested. Its pretty easy to look this stuff up, just go to the player's profile page on NBA.com and choose Stats. Then go to Tracking->Shots Dashboard.
