Played the pelicans and got my dunk blocked from behind by Ryan Anderson, a guy that averages 0.3 block per game. Now had it been AD, I'm cool with that. But the problem with the game is that, regardless of ratings, apparently every big is a gifted shot blocker.

Okay great, Anderson got a block in the game. He is still averaging much less than 0.5 block. So 2k Anderson is only allowed less than 1 block (or whatever number to maintain his real life average of 0.3 block per game) in his entire 82 game season even if .... 2k Anderson is in the perfect position (with his long arms) to block the ball.

So, 2k is suppose to just make all players with low block ratings foul all dunkers despite all players in the NBA are in fact athletic enough to reach their hands towards the ball.

If given a choice, I'd prefer they leave they it alone. But, if they can balance them to were they are realistically without encouraging dunk/layup cheese then I'm all for it.

However, I'm pretty skeptical that they can get it just right.

Why don't you just stop using 2k Curry or CP3 to block the dunker? If you see a guy going up for a dunk and only Curry or CP3 is around, don't press the jump/block button.

Make note that a good percentage of chase down blocks are mostly done by the backcourt, and not the bigs....

        2k13 had 0 blocks.

        2k14 had auto block.

2k15 was pretty fair in regards to numbers....BUT it had those stupid force fields around dunkers/drivers that encouraged cheese.

2k16 is closer to 2k14 than it is 2k15. Step in the right direction, but still not totally there.
That's why I started using the left/right dunks or alley-oop passes on fastbreaks. With the left/right dunks, the ball is in front of the player, and (if you choose the correct hand) away from the defender. I dunk the ball according to which side of the rim that I'm on (left of rim - use left hand dunk, right of rim - use right hand dunk). If the defender makes a play on the ball, then it's more than likely a foul. Technically and IRL, the cockback dunk is an easy dunk to block if the ball is still behind the player's head, but it's nice when you get it off.

Like I said before, it's rare that I get blocked from behind, because I always make note of the trailers on the break. I think some people genuinely believe that certain players never get their dunks blocked while on a fastbreak. That's ESPN thinking. Any player can get blocked by any player if you expose the ball.

Ditto on the handed layups ksutton. I happen to have a game uploading now with a sequence between Tim Duncan and Steven Adams...

2 times in the post, he would let me do a move to get by him...then block me from behind as I went up for a dunk...

I started finishing on the other side of the rim and got two and 1's....he started doubling after that, lol

...I just had a myLeague game where i got 8 blocks with Larry Sanders. He actually made the CPU start pulling up midrange/floaters.

Please don't nerf blocks. They're the best they've ever been IMO. Defensive bigs can be defensive bigs. I love it.

I keep getting blocked before I even put up my shots. I'll attempt up and unders or spin layups, and the guy will jump before I go up and his knee or something will hit the ball out of my hands. Its annoying as hell

I kinda find it funny when people called themselves sim head but say the blocking is fine. You aint no damn sim head, you are a causal man. Blocking attributes for players who cant even block to save their life are blocking like their Hakeem Olajuwon. And the for people who say oh y wont u mess with sliders. Im playing mycareer Jackass. Simulation slider is trash. There need to be a threshold where at a certain block rating u either good or bad at it. Players with 30 block rating shouldn't be blocking dunks or layups(rarely)

Sim Heads don't put up garbage shots, hence....we don't get blocked. Duh!

I have Np with defensive bigs, its the problem with players who cant block are all of sudden block masters.

I only play mycareer to get badges and vc. Not looking for a SIM game in mycareer at all lol

That's how I've always seen mycareer...nothing more than vc farming and badge collecting.

Garbage shots ok, I guess having a PG with a horrible block rating swating a big from behind. Yeah ok buddy. Yeah lets give players with garbage block ratings a pass to block like they are mount mutombo. Give me a effing break.

What button are you guys pressing on fast breaks that y'all are getting swatted by lil guards? I have rondo in my HOF myleague online season and I never get blocked from behind. But I'm extremely crafty and aware of my surroundings.... If I see someone bearing down on me spamming turbo I assume they are going for the block so some times I step on the breaks and let them fly by and do a simple lay in.... Word of advice avoid flashy dunks (Right stick down and turbo) unless the coast is clear... Also the opposite hand layup away from the defender is amazing
