Re: In game adverts?
When it's on the main menu it's cool but it's completely ridiculous and unacceptable to have it pop-up in the middle of my game and block my view of the scoreboard.Comment

Re: In game adverts?
Really? I find it way easier now than it was when it became first implemented. I can play two decent games in MyCareer, get an endorsement or connection and boom, I have no less than 1,000 VC. Not to mention the pricing for things in the 2K Store is way more lenient than last year. You can do everything without dropping a single dime.Last edited by Old School Fool; 10-10-2015, 09:17 PM.Comment

Re: In game adverts?
I'll tell you what's going on...Older guys like me will just continue to ignore the prompts to buy VC and all the rest of it....Why? Because we pay with this virtual stuff with our hard earned money.
Alot of younger people are less inclined to continue to ignore the prompts, because their online profiles are linked to their parents account...Obtaining VC is as easy as a click for them. All digital purchases are completely non-refundable.
The gaming industry knows this and makes a killing off of it. Then, you have adults that DO like to purchase VC etc. It's a win win. Annoying to those of us who aren't interested, but you'll NEVER see an option of "Don't remind me about VC again".Comment

Re: In game adverts?
They will also be collecting playing and purchasing data from all players, so maybe as a PS4 player from the UK who has never bought any VC, they are spamming me with ads to try to encourage me to make my first purchase because statistically once you've bought some at least once your are more likely to buy again. Other players who've already bought VC they may not send offers to as they expect them to buy some more anyway and don't need to offer them a discount.
They will be collecting all this data and finding the best way to harvest VC purchases from their player base. None of which I have a problem with because this is all industry standard practice at this point but I do have a problem with their shi**y popups coming up all the time when I'm not interested and just want to play the game I bought in peace.
I'm nearly 30 and I don't expect to be sent popups in the middle of a game to buy their crappy currency anymore than I would expect to go to a cinema and see box come up saying "go buy some ice cream" in the middle of the movie. I guess the world has changed and consumers/players are just used to being treated like cattle that are there to be milked.Last edited by zeroblackstar; 10-11-2015, 07:13 AM.Comment

Re: In game adverts?
If it's that bad take your game to gamestop and trade it in, the rest of us enjoy the game.

Wow you've found the solution to all the problems people experience in every game ever! You must be some sort of genius. Well done.Comment

Re: In game adverts?
Wait so there are advertisements IN game? Like during an actual matchup?
The only ones I've ever seen are in the main menu and I quickly pressed X to get passed them without any second thought ...
