At this point, I wouldn't even care if 2K charges me to get up to date-looking players. It'd be pretty sad that they'd charge for that, but that's the only way I could see them doing it. It's all about the $$$.

The backlash 2k would get for charging player updates would be crazy but please don't put ideas in their heads, you've been here long enough to know what's really going on, the game is already established thanks to us back in the day, we made them #1 over live and this is how they re-pay us. I ain't mad tho it's all good, I'll just think about the next release and think about is all the confusion and glitches worth day one $$$. I bet if nobody bout the game day one they would change.

Just like a woman you've given a lot of attention..become spoiled and ungrateful over time..

In other words: this game would be much more better if 2K got competition and as much it's sad i would like LIVE to be better game just for sake of 2K's laziness.

I also feel you on this too man.Im a guy who still owns the dreamcast copy with A.I on the cover and all of my ps4 games are currently stored in my 2k10 Kobe anniversary edition locker lolbs. You're right us as consumers are the reason they are able to label their game as the #1 rated bball simulation but after YEARS of loyalty and money spent on this game if they cant atleast repay us with up to date player appearances then I think it might be time for me to cut out my day one purchase from here on out until they show a lil more respect for the NBA and its fans..Hell I pay comcast a pretty penny for league pass to watch bball daily and when I spend 90 bucks on a #1 rated bball simulation video game I atleast want the players to look how they look on tv.Cp3 looks like he's straight off the cover of 2k8 in 2k16 smh

These are the sort of things Live needs to take and incorporate into there game. I pray Live gets their sh#t together so 2K is forced to listen to us and not just expect our money year in year out

At the very least, one of the 2K guys could let us know (and I know they've seen this thread) if they have no plans to do any updates. Then we can just let this thread die, and stop keeping our hopes up.

But hey, at least they did update Rose a while back.

Hell with that, i would never pay for that because that should be part of the game i already bought, what's next paying for roster updates ? Nah, i would never give them a cent for the thing that should be in game from day one, there are already bunch of players that got generic faces (Hilliard, Dawson, Marjanovic).

These are the sort of things Live needs to take and incorporate into there game. I pray Live gets their sh#t together so 2K is forced to listen to us and not just expect our money year in year out

You do realize Live 16 has had more player appearance updates then 2k16 so far right? Yes, 2k has the more complete game and customization but they've definitely gotten lazy. They use the fame you die hard 2k fans have given them, get big name players (over using MJ time and time again for sales) and ruin a great mode (myplayer, which isn't your player at all this year) for the bigger name in Spike Lee and forget about key updates to the game. They've gotten complacent and it's showing. Glad it hasn't gone unnoticed though. They need to know that. Heck i'd say the quality of their graphics and face scans has diminished over the years as well with, imo, 2k14 having the better overall face scans and lighting. Yes, you have the flashy life like animations (that imo can look really weird sometimes) that get you the attention in advertisements (harden cookin, stephen curry mouthguard) but when in comes to overall graphics (skin tones, facial scans, jersey color accuracy, lighting) they've declined. And they dont seem to try to correct things mid season. Live has gotten a lot of crap (some for good reason) the last couple of years but at least they have worked hard during the games lifespan to try and improve it, player appearance included. Still enjoy the overall game of 2k16 but as a graphics first kind of guy, I'm disappointed from what I've seen so far from 2k, or lack thereof. I applaud the PC community, you folks are doing better than even the folks over at 2k, and while I don't have 2k for PC the work they do (for free) should really open the eyes of the team working on 2k16 and make them feel lazy.

I AGREE with this post so much it's not even funny bro.2K has pretty much just forced my career upon us and that seems like that's their bread and butter now.They don't care at all about the core nba aspect of the game.I broke down and bought live just recently when it went on sale for $16 and me and my 7 yr old actually have a lot of fun with it.How they managed to get James harden down to a t more than 2k and he's on 2ks cover baffles me.Have they not seen all the electric ductape that was added to his left arm in game?Do they plan on fixing it or removing it?Is the guy who added that still an employee in the art department lmao.Definitely planning on buying a pc with my tax return because I can't take this anymore.They have pretty much ruined it for me on consoles.It looks too real to not be up to date and authentic.They fail to realize that it really defeats the purpose of buying the game every year if players are gonna look pretty much the same as the previous title and not up to date with the current times.Its really an eyesore to play with or against the mavs because of D Will smh.Its bad enough they've just now managed to get a actual facescan of the dude but with the waves it's just not right.We mite as well kept 2k15 and just switched him to the mavs.His lack of a bald head takes away from the facescan.What was the point of face scanning him in the first place

Well you made a good point there, as for me i'm not that much into graphics as i am into authenticity. These so-called 'appearance' updates should have happened from day one along with roster updates. In game you have some players that look 2 years old, few examples are Chris Copeland (never looked like one in game), Kevin Love (in game looks probably from his Minesotta days)..and many more but i'm not gonna type it here.

Another thing is they don't update tendencies or badges via roster updates, roster update without tendency update is just pointless because CPU is driven with tendencies not attributes in 1st place. If certain player added 3pt jumpshot to his repertoire they will just increase his 3pt shoot grade but not his 3pt shoot tendency and in game that player will rarely or never shoot threes. (just example, same goes for mid-range, dunk tendency or foul tendency)

PC modders can update players with zero (0) budget only with 3d blenders but they can't with milions they earned plus all that high end equipment they have, i don't think so. As a longtime 2K customer/fan i must say i'm terribly disappointed not only with this small part of the game but also with gameplay, mycareer (spike lee involvement) and overall feel of the game.

Every day I start mycareer to enter mypark or myGM i get popup message to buy VC, special offers and such BS, that's no wonder because virtual currency is what drives this game now. Every year 2K franchise is more similar to Call of Duty series, you bought game and then after 1 month you get 1DLC offer, 2nd month another DLC offer..and after 4-5 months after game is released you realize you spent on game another 50 € without even noticing it, but in return you get minimal customer support.

And really when I think about it they pretty much only updated d rose with the mask I guess to redeem they self from last year when live updated Russ with his mask and killed 2ks version of Russell Westbrook lolbvs.What was the point of doing all those updates to D Rose when he's not even the star he once was.Steph is one of your guys cover athletes,map,and pretty much the face of the nba rite now and does not look at all like current day Steph..That's mid to end season last year Steph smh.But all gear in my player store is currently 15% lol..I get a message like that every time I fire up the game smh..Not buying this game no more unless I end up getting a pretty decent Pc....Ok I'm done ranting now lol
