Alright everyone!

I haven't posted much on here but since joining OS I have always loved what I have seen. The ability for the 2k community to truly have an impact on the game is something that I both admire and respect. It's something rarely seen in any other game.

That being said I have something I want to try out. One common thread that comes up is player appearances. The thread turns out to be really really...really long and I am making an attempt to try and clean it up a bit in order to hopefully make it more presentable as well as, in my opinion, more likely to be picked up by the devs, or artists or anyone at 2k.

Now since this is just an experiment to gauge
1) If you all actually like it
2) If it works as intended and
3) If the guys and girls behind the game actually think it is anything useful,
I have made a simple spreadsheet that is dedicated ONLY to appearances in terms of hair/ facial features/ skin color and tattoos. I know there are many other things that can be changed but like I said, this is just an experiment. If this works out I will look into creating more. I am also trying out my first thread attempt at starting a thread so I am trying to learn from that as well so feedback is welcome.

Now down to what this spreadsheet is. I have made this a public document to google docs that includes each team and their roster in separate tabs. The idea is that if you have a change that you see needs to be made, you type in a brief description of the change and hyperlink it to a picture which includes the date that the picture was taken. The reason for this is so that the community (and with any luck the 2k devs) can hop on to the doc, see what needs to be changed, and follow a link to the picture for verification.


For the picture I have found that www.gettyimages.com has some pretty good pictures with the date clearly stated. Of course if you find something better please pass it along.

I wanted to do things this way in order to prevent duplicates like the numerous Derrick Rose suggestions I have seen in other posts. Then if you think of it and it has already been done we avoid excess clutter in the thread. Please note that you may update suggestions that have already been made. Just overwrite it if it needs to be. If all goes well, we will get some feedback from the devs/artists stating a change was made and on what day and everyone is happy and every player's appearances are up to date.

So take a look, I have additional instructions in the spreadsheet, feel free to add more at the bottom (please include on all tabs for everyone) and have fun.

EDIT #1: Added columns for "Needs New Face Scan" and for "Needs New Body Scan" at the end of the spreadsheet. If you have looked up a player and it looks like the scan has been updated then put "appears Updated", if it needs updating just put "Yes"

Michael Carter Williams has a new hairdo. Bayless is bald head. Copeland wore a head band tonight.

Bayless is still bald...they just need to take his headband off and give it to Copeland.


So many Bucks with different hair than in the game.

Is there anyway to request new skin tones? Most noticeably a lot of white players are too light and have this reddish discoloration around the eyes. And players like Lebron are way too light in comparison to the real thing.

I would add it to the spreadsheet explaing exactly as you did here. If someone else has add something to that player already just write additional info in the cell

Wondering if there is any way they could update LeBron so that he could have the 1990s shorter shorts, since he now wears them in real life instead of the baggier current ones. Also Kevin Love needs an updated hairstyle and facial hair with a black small headband.

If they this for Westbrook and durant and Chris Douglas Roberts as well that would be huge
