Career should be, but its not. Centered around VC and an unrealistic progression system.

They gave us MyLeague to be realistic. You can player lock and pop in and out of Sim.

Like I said. If should be...but its not. And again, sooner we realize this, the sooner we can accept it for what it is.

I feel you, but you're trying to make it something its not.

It may not be now, but it certainly can be in the future, if they want it to. And their want to can in part be influenced by consumer feedback, just like it was after the disaster that was next gen 2K14.

I'm saying almost everything in MC can be replicated in MyLeague with player lock. All except the drills.

No VC needed for accessories or sneakers, progress through a realistic system, customize all aspects of the NBA (trades, salary cap, etc) real draft classes, summer league...all while still able to control the front office moves if you want.
And you still earn VC to lvl up your player for ProAm.

MC could be like this, but I'm saying they ready gave us a mode to have a realistic career, people need to utilize it and enjoy, not wish MC was better because it won't be at least for another season.

Only thing that is prevents, is getting badges for your player for online.

This is coming from someone who will never set foot in the Park EVER now that ProAm doesn't work, will NEVER buy VC, and has skipped every single Spike Lee cutscene.

I'm all about ball, not gimmicks. If I want an RPG story I'll play Witcher III.

Nowhere in MyCareer can I make a 6'6" SG (Kobe).

Here are the caps for a 6'6" balanced SG.

          Young Kobe
          89 speed - CAP is 80
94 Standing shot mid - CAP is 81
          98 Driving Layup - CAP is 77
          95 Driving Dunk - CAP is 77
A 5'7" Inside PG can have 90 driving dunk, and a Balanced 5'7" PG can have 80

*I don't think those numbers are correct however on Caps for driving dunks for 6'6" balanced SG - Outside 6'6 SG gets 84 Driving Dunk and and 79 Contact Dunk

I have a Balanced 6'6" SG and my dunk cap is definitely 80+

*Driving Layup is definitely inferior for a SG of the suggested height

What Kobe fans could do for the layup boost is get the layup badges and upgrade them to gold, then use the boosts. It's not ideal but it's a way of working within this current system. The gold badges are one saving grace that do help us close some of the attribute gaps between us (the My Players) and them (the NBA stars).

What we lack in attributes: we compensate for in gold badges which most NBA players do not have as many gold badges as My Players do.

I'm sorry but it is absolutely not possible to replicate the true MyCareer experience in MyLeague.

No teammate grades, no endorsements, no live practices or press conferences... it's, at best, a shell of a true single-player focused mode.

Re: So I can't make a Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Kevin Durant in MyCa

Teammate grades are pointless. A+ rated grades with a 'poor' performance and 300vc. I don't need a grading system to tell if I'm having a bad game.

I mentioned the drills not being there, but you can still practice your moves and progress through the system. I shouldn't go from a 73 to a 75 because I ran a few drills. Not realistic.

Press conferences are not in there, but to me, this is a gimmick, and not needed in anyway to make the basketball action realistic.

Endorsements...same thing. Focused on earning VC for upgrades. In MyLeague I can instantly equip custom Jordan's for free and change them and brand at anytime. Being 'endorsed' just is a screen with a button press. That's it. Your not REALLY endorsed by anything. Me saying in my head, "I have am endorsed by Adidas" literally has the same effect, besides earning VC...which in MyLeague has no purpose.

In the MyLeague method, you could be a 75 rated PG and come off the bench and be a role player. Not forced to be the star. Not 8 games in your rookie year. Not forcibly losing to push cutscenes.

Don't see how playing someone else's forced story line is being "myself" and realistic in any way. A fun way to play 2k for something different with some story thrown in there....absolutely. But this mode is not ment to be realistic.

Are you kidding me? This mode is made to turn everyone into Jordan. You have no other option. Want to be a 6th man like Jamal Crawford? Too bad.

we definitely have different views on what the MyCareer experience should be. To me, it completely 100% matters if the game tracks how many bad passes I make per game, that I'm able to get interviewed, and all the other additions for MyCareer. Just playing a regular franchise mode but locked on one player isn't going to make up for that experience.

And I don't believe the mode is "not supposed" to be realistic; it was once the most realistic mode out there back in 2k10/11 when they had the draft combine/summer league/d league. I'm just advocating that they get back to their roots

It may have once been, but its not. If I make repeatedly bad passes in MyLeague Career, with coaching set to auto like it would be in MC...I get benched. For a week. That will happen in real life, not in MC. Traded, cut at the drop of a hat. Not in MC. Potentional for serious injury. Not in MC.

I feel you, if you want that, your entitled. Just will not come this year in MC. Can continue to play and bang your head against the wall, or accept it. There will be no patches that drastically fix anything.

We are coming from two different perspectives, clearly, I just don't care about the 'drama' of the NBA. Just on court action, front office deals, and playing within a system to win.

I can find all the storylines in the trades, stats, and team moves, in the menu screens more realistic than any forced story by any writer.

And in MyLeague you can play shorter quarter lengths, and have your stats normalized to 12 minute Sim stats.

There are just so many more options to utilize so that your Career is exactly how you want it, not forced.

As long as everyone is able to make the same caliber player, the caps are f'in ********, especially if you're talking about playing offline lmao...

But even online, what does it matter if there are 3 MJ's and 2 Shaq's on the court or 3 Aaron Afflalo's and 2 Vucevic's? I'd rather play with and against the superstars, it's more fun, and if we're all able to have create em then you can't tell me it's unfair

Inside, outside, and balanced are vague, but at least a start in the right direction. Individualize stats so user needs more VC to make the type of player u want and they can still cap out the stats to make it balanced. U wanna be improve your weaker attributes? Then make it cost more VC to a point that u will have to GRIND or simply pay and increase 2k's business. Also, I agree with what every other post and thread has said lol: Separate online from offline and both sides are happy.
Honestly what's stopping you from creating those play styles ? If you up rebounder and keep everything else balanced the game says you're a tenacious rebounder. Same thing for defense , all around , or scorer.

Yes, but stats need to be individualized in order for more variety to happen. Everyone agrees that blocking together attributes do not make sense to create more of a unique player. So no it cannot be created even if it does say the styles on the top of the attributes because the attributes are in blocks and not individualized which is what everyone is concerned about mostly.
