Re: Shot % Tweaks needed?
From a small sample size playing one game; 12 minute quarters. Seems and-1s have been toned down. Seen a lot that would usually go in, roll out or miss badly. Also hitting green on 3pters is more common.
Just wish Mike fixed the midrange shooting from the CPU players. That and the fouls and I will be good.
Wonder how shooting is looking online in the Park and Pro-Am. Will have to check it out.HATE LOSING MORE THAN I LOVE WINNING!

Re: Shot % Tweaks needed?
Please lower the foul frequency in Pro-Am. You don't get rewarded for putting your hands up as a big in the paint, because most of the time they will call a foul even if the other player forces up a shot and ends up getting bailed out. There's times where you would have 4 fouls at half and end up fouling out in the 3rd.

Re: Shot % Tweaks needed?
Hell no...Please DON'T do this...The foul frequency is perfectly fine and in fact, they could tend to raise it a bit in order to discourage guys from trying to block every shot, rather than put their hands up and play sound Defense...Right now, the blocks are way to over powered: if they were to raise the foul frequency, that might discourage Joe Shmow from trying to Mutumbo every layup or dunk (with their SG and PG mind you).

Re: Shot % Tweaks needed?
Sorry, Blocks are not overpowered in the paint, I can see it on the chase down but the paint is usually due to poor shot selection. If anything should get a raise in frequency is the steals off rebounds and on bigs. PGs and SGs should not be able to rip from a PF or a C right off a rebound or posted up with the ball in his hand (not dribbling) at the frequency they are ripping it. Strip balls should also incur a higher frequency of fouls, as a big going up for a dunk, I get ripped by a PG every now and then with no foul called.

Re: Shot % Tweaks needed?
How is just putting your hands up sound defense? the way you make it sound is as if you prefer the way blocks were in 2k15.....Comment

Re: Shot % Tweaks needed?
It's JUST putting your hands up...It's also being in the right position to defend and not running around like a chicken without head, getting chase down blocks from across the court...You can play the worst on ball Defense and all you have to do run behind the guy and block his shot...Is that real basketball? Exactly...Hands up, body in position to alter the shot...Not frekn just run to the guy and attempt a blocked shot.

Re: Shot % Tweaks needed?
Why do I sound as if I prefer anything? Remind me again when I said that...Also, if you even have to ask how putting your hands up is a part of playing sound D, then you've never played a day of real, organized basketball on any level..."Hand down, man down." Seriously.

because I never played basket ball, doesn't mean I don't understand it. and when I said that you wanted to the blocks to be back at 2k15 levels, I was being fasicious.
In some basket ball moments, players do just run up and block a shot, instead of your "sound" defense. If the devs did as you said, there would be an uproar due to the fact that Bigs would be rendered usless again on defense other than being a big body. As of now Bigs make a difference other than rebounding and taking up space. should some precentages be tweaked, yes, should some blocks be called fouls, yes, but as a whole the system is far better than 2k15.Comment

Re: Shot % Tweaks needed?
Can the layup gather slider be adjusted for certain players or is it universal?
like, I don't want Mosgov bothered by Steph Curry if he's in front of him at the rim..
but Curry making a layup while Moz's feet are planted in front of him should be a bit tougher.Comment

the difference of being in position, hands up, but also "contesting", ie going in to attempt to block a shot, is better D, than just standing in a positioned well holding your hands up, hoping the shot will be affected.

Hands up in position applying defensive pressure is usually a better option especially for bigs. Jumping for everything leads to fouls and being pump faked. As they say, leapers will leap and leaving the ground means fouls and easy baskets.
The majority of blocks come from help, I believe. Not straight up man on man.
Jumping isn't "better D". It's a higher risk, higher reward option that appropriate in some situations, and the effectiveness of jumping contest attempts isn't just the block but in changing the shot.Last edited by Sundown; 10-27-2015, 09:22 AM.Comment

Re: Shot % Tweaks needed?
It may be a case of having to take the bad with the good on some misses. White Chocolate J-Will was disrupting MJ in a test game I was playing, but with some of the other issues with defense right now it probably balances out. It seems to be such a fine line when it comes to tuning these issues.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment
