the difference of being in position, hands up, but also "contesting", ie going in to attempt to block a shot, is better D, than just standing in a positioned well holding your hands up, hoping the shot will be affected.

because I never played basket ball, doesn't mean I don't understand it. and when I said that you wanted to the blocks to be back at 2k15 levels, I was being fasicious.

In some basket ball moments, players do just run up and block a shot, instead of your "sound" defense. If the devs did as you said, there would be an uproar due to the fact that Bigs would be rendered usless again on defense other than being a big body. As of now Bigs make a difference other than rebounding and taking up space. should some precentages be tweaked, yes, should some blocks be called fouls, yes, but as a whole the system is far better than 2k15.

Your response is so bad that it's blatantly obvious that you don't understand the concept of playing defense...Jumping to block a shot should be your last option as a defender...Anyone that's ever played organized basketball will tell you that leaving your feet will get you beat.

And yes, there are instances where a player will go for a block, rather than playing sound Defense, but guess what, I can guarantee you that in those cases, which are way less frequent in real life than what occurs in this game, that guy going for the block is doing so because he actually has the ability and the angle to block the shot...In this game, PG's and SG's are able to block players that are taller and stronger on a consistent basis...THAT'S NOT REALISTIC...And the purpose of the PRO AM was to give us 5 vs 5 simulation style basketball...If I wanted to do unrealistic things, I'd play at the park...Now, I'm done owning you, so don't even bother with a response.

Shooting Percentages are fine relative to how easy it is to pound the paint for dunks and avoid taking jumpers altogether.

There isn't any meaningful discussion on shooting percentage that can be had until there is a reasonable balance. Most gameplay issues relate to ratings/badges rather than the game's internal process of those factors.

It there anyway u guys can look at the CPU's blocking attempt and accuracy? Online a lot of people just play offball d and their CPU teammates are not only playing great on ball defense, they are also playing great pick n roll defense and are blocking every shot including POST FADES.

I dont play against CPUs so i cant speak on that but online people playing offball defense have an advantage b/c because their CPU teammates are just too good especially at blocking,pick n roll defense and onball defense.

Some games I feel like I'm sliding over the place and i just can't defend on ball. Like the guy will blow right past like I don't exist. So I have no choice but to play off-ball D.

So what exactly is the ShtLowPost rating for? Why is it hidden? What purpose does it serve when there is a ShtClose and Standling Layup Rating? Does it matter at all to Edit?

I'm not sure if I should post this here or start a new thread, but either dribbling badges, or size ups period has to be tweaked.. It's happening on park and proam, as well as MyLeague on HOF sim (wanted to see if it was just park modes). People are spamming size ups etc and breaking ankles with ease against players with great D. I have maxed defense on my SG and my ankles get snapped like a twig vs guys Crawford spamming. I tried the same thing vs Lebron(also butler, and kawhi) and Jamal shatters their ankles as well..
Against the top wing defenders in the league.. I know it's not just me bc I've watched friends doit as well as get it find to them.. I hope Mike comments.
