    38 here. Don't remember when I got my 1st 2K game, but it's 12-13 years ago, I think!

I do know that my 1st basketball video game was Bird vs. Dr. J. I don't remember if it was on the Commodore 64 or Amiga though...

I'm 38 and regularly squad up with my 14 year old son and occasionally his mates... he loves it and is the one constantly messaging me asking "Park?"

          Turn 30 tomorrow

First 2k game was 2k1 but I split time between Live and 2k until the ps3 came out and 2k was the only one available at launch. Never looked back.

First bball game was NCAA Basketball on the Super Nintendo. Crowd atmosphere was lit.

If I find a bug in the game or have an idea Ill shoot it to him.. I also met Jeff Thomas and had a few convos with him back in the day when they were doing All Pro football because my family member is a Nfl hall of famer so I got 2k to send him a contract to be in the game.. he fumbled the contract (no pun) but now hes in Madden 17 as a mut card. So ive been rocking with 2k since the beginning I remember standing outside of the 2k offices a long time ago listening to Rob talk about his vision for the game and where he wanted to take it waaaaay back then. I use to buy up to 5 copies and give them away trying to convert live fans back then. So im pretty happy to see the game become the Madden of basketball games.

Cool. What background music did you do? I make music as well. Rob always seemed cool and he used to do a lot of 2K game interviews pre-release and stuff that were always interesting.

Not sure about 2K becoming Madden-like but I'm glad they have mostly made sim-style basketball games over the years. I've been a fan since 2K3/2K4.

              Older 2K Gamers?

This thread amazes me... didn't know there were this many old heads... I remember my first real dive was NBA Techmo Basketball.

Used have what I called my "Sim Spiral" before I even understood what I was actually doing. I kept stats on my season myself and calculated them after each game for the whole league.

Man we have come a long way.

Was a live guy for the longest until my buddy got me to pick up 2K around the same time that All-Pro Football dropped and I've been in love (despite what I post around here) ever since.

              I'm a strictly offline MyLeague/Association mode player.

So my follow-up question to everyone in this thread is are you offline, online or MyLeague guys?

As one of the over 30s, I am strictly MyLeague. I think you'll find that is pretty consistent.

I still remember playing a Charlotte Hornets season in Live 97. I played all the games and I wanted the shooting stats to match the real Hornets. So I would deliberately miss off the back of the backboard until I got each game's stats on point.

Looking back, I have no idea why that was fun.

But to this day I remember that Glen Rice shot 47.7FG and 47% on 3s and 86.7% on FTs.

                Weird.

Heck 1st game system I ever had was the Atari, so sprts gaming has definitely came along way from those days, lol.

36 myself and like you I'm strictly offline and like you I remember the days of stick figures with no faces or feet for that matter (double dribble still brings me fond memories)

39 myself...I've pretty much played every basketball game that came out personally. From Arch Rivals, Hoopz Double Dribble and TV Sports Basketball to Live, NBA Action eventually finding a home with 2K. Playing these games were a lot of fun!
