    player on-court movement issues

Seems like I am having slight issues again as well. I haven't played MyCareer in awhile but my dude just isn't fluid moving around the court.

It's likes something pulling you a little. And then sometimes on offball D, when you try to turn around to keep your dude from back cutting or etc. Your dude stays in the back pedal motion for like 1 second more.

      Re: player on-court movement issues

This is happening for me on-ball, my player will literally decide to stand straight up while I hold down my LT like a madman. I'm also getting that 2K15 quicksand feeling, mashing my left stick to cut someone off and being stuck in quicksand so he can blow by me. I can't play park until this gets fixed, I can't stay with the cheesers while they do their stupid moves like I used to. I'm pleading Beluba, if you changed anything involving defense, change it back.

I am noticing these same movement issues, particularly on defense.

I really hope Beluba and the team can resolve these player movement issues in 2k17. They need to find a way to give players more first-step explosion on offense, and resolve the skating and unnecessary movements for defensive players. (They need to find a balance, rather than build in all the unneccesary suction/warping/slow-down animations that keep the defender in front of a driving ball handler)

These animations make you feel helpless on offense, and all the suction/warping contribute to the ice skating feeling on defense.

This has been my #1 gripe about 2K16.

For me it just got bad again like a month or 2 ago it was great for me. Now it's just been off. I am hoping he does something about it this year. It was like this months ago and he fixed the issue. Hopefully, it doesn't require a patch because I am sure we aren't getting anymore of those.

I've been having the same problems but sometimes I feel I'm moving too fast or not fast enough.

Honestly it makes me feel like I'm getting cheated because whoever I'm playing usually goes on a run when this crap starts happening. It seems to affect the whole team as well because I've seen my ai teammates run past or away their man or just not react to what's going on,

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I had a lot of movement issues arise when trying to switch defenders while holding LT (intense D). It slows your players down. I've started only using it to face up a guy then if he starts to get pass me I let it go, readjust to a better position, then intense D again.

If I'm guarding a pass into the post or need to rotate a defender I won't touch LT because it makes the rotation too slow.

The only time I run into issues is when I'm using intense D in any situation other than a one-on-one matchup.

                    Re: player on-court movement issues

I gave it a chance before passing a mindless judgment but I can confidently say now that the LT function is definitely nerfed for me on Defense.

It's everything everyone has already described in last 7 days. It's to the point I feel like I'm fighting with the game and my left index finger is literally under stress from the unresponsiveness. The functionality of this LT on defense is very "uncooperative" for me and lacks a certain intuitive intelligence that used to be there.

I also don't think it's because of a lack of ratings but I did find something interesting: my defenders with 18 and 20 discipline on Defense with all superior defensive badges play far worst than my defender who has not one defensive badge and only 1 skill badge total - that same defender also only has 12 bars on defense.

I'm not sure the trigger but there is just way too much cpu assisted steering on defense. As someone who uses manual shot contest and sets defensive assist to 0 as well as box out to 0: I just don't know where to go to alleviate this assistance. At this point I believe it's a slider tweak that's out of my control that's influencing this. Maybe something to assist and counter assist users as some kind of handicap - yes I am thinking this far outside the box... simply because the assistance is counter productive and very "possessive".

My experience is limited to My Park.

Sucks it seems like it won't be fixed. I don't know how this happened again. There wasn't a patch that made this happen for me. Most likely had to be after an update.

Then I don't think it affects everyone. Like if you played 2K for awhile you'll be able to tell instantly you aren't moving correctly. So it's weird to how it affects some people I know but not others.

This is so true . You don't notice it when playing 2k everyday . Every time I take a week or so off the movement fees so weird to me .

For me it's everyday. What I meant is that if you're familiar w/ how 2K plays/moves, you'll notice it quickly.

I tried using Boxout assist strength at -5 but that led to a horrendous rebounding experience.

I have these jolts that most frequently occur in the paint. I'll be in good to great defensive position and then suddenly I'll be "chucked" a good 5 feet from my original position - no exaggeration - my guy literally slides that far out of position.

This is in H2H play in Park. Vs the CPU I can overcome sliding by increasing the defensive assist strength but this generally has a counter productive effect on Park and Pro Am vs human.

It's a tough box to be in. I put settings to -5 and it helps to alleviate sliding but this opens a new can of problems. I can't even settle to accept a lesser evil over the other: they are both grievous positions to be in.

I got ya. I'm the opposite. I get used to it when I play everyday . When I take weeks or so off though I'm like this movement is bad lol

Does anyone have an issue where they make a dribble move but run into an imaginary brick wall that stops them dead in their tracks?

Two examples in case my description isn't enough.
