Yep is time to take it completely out of the rotation, wasn't a complete waste because my two nephews love all the Myplayer stuff and I share my xbox with there's so they get all my games ... That was there Xmas gift lol. Good luck in your pickup game and take it easy on those knees man.

      2. Are y'all casual players, sim and/or have you played any competitive basketball beyond high school?

      3. What size tv are you playing on.? I play on a 80" sharp and I figured maybe there was input lag so I went back to my "50 tv and it's the same to me.. And other games like FPS bf4 don't have a tremendous amount of input lag so I've concluded its something built into NBA 2ks coding...

      4. If your answer to question# 1 is "yes" then how do you feel the game is playing great if something as important as core movement and reaction time is broken?

The reasons I ask is because there are so many of us who are commenting on this game and I like to get and idea of who I'm listening to or talking to bc a bit of their back ground helps me understand their answers..

      1. No sir, no lag or heaviness. If I give the sticks too many inputs at one time I'll be all over the place and it may take a few moments for it to transition from animation to animation but no heaviness....just clunkiness and usually caused by me.

      2. Superstar/SIM, 11 minute quarters. If I get up 90 shots, 65-80 or more of those shots are from plays ran out of playbook. This is dependent on how often my team gets turnovers or I have the ability to run the break. I also play ball routinely AT LEAST once a week. I played in HS but that's my highest level of education. If I'm not playing 2k, I'm either at the courts or watching basketball games on YouTube.... Shameless plug, they call me OG at the courts I ball at LOL

      3. 38" or 40" HDTV

      4. Nothing broken on my end.

I wish you well man. You don't come on here acting all hostile and I truly believe your issue as ataman has the same problem and he's not one to come on OS with a hidden agenda. I don't know what to tell you but I really do hope the issue resolves itself.

Appreciate the feed back man... Yeah no hidden agenda or rudeness torward anyone... Just wanted to get a better feel for the plp who post on here and in this thread .. ..

No worries I'll wait until the game give a free weekend trial next year to see if they change it back to what is was even since 2k 5 and college hoops..

Just want to play a game where the attributes decide the out come of who wins vs.. 50 new ways for the CPU AI to cheat the human player .. I know some are necessary to give the user a feel of competitiveness but it would be nice if they let the user decide what cheats to turn on and off.

Is there really more user who complain about the game being too easy vs it being to hard. And cheesy on SS and HOF ? If there are more ppl complaining about the cheats that go into the game on higher levels why not cater to us.. And those who want a tougher no realistic CPU AI experience... HAVE THEM TINKER WITH SLIDER ADJUSTMENTS etc every year to make the game harder for them. ... Why does 2k cater to them are they really the masses because I see way more ppl having issues with the gameplay than those saying the game is way to easy.. Also those that say it's to easy are more than likely using the Warriors, cavs, Spurs and thunder...

Btw I play SS 12min sim..

          happy to help.

          1. Do you guys not notice the input lag or heaviness the player you are controlling has especially when the CPU makes its move to score..?
i wont say its input lag. yes, i felt the players are heavy and initially i had to spam the controls to make sure the players reacted to where i wanted them to be. i felt the gameplay was like the game release state back in sep. i bumped up the game speed from 60 to 70 and it felt normal again. yes, i was on 60 all the while pre-patch 4, xmas day.
are u saying u are playing mc and yor cpu teammates are slow? i am on offline myleague so cant really comment on that.

          2. Are y'all casual players, sim and/or have you played any competitive basketball beyond high school?
i played simulation sliders on superstar mode. i am not good enough to play at the national level to represent my country irl. yes, i do played in competitive league before my "season" ending injury.

          3. What size tv are you playing on.? I play on a 80" sharp and I figured maybe there was input lag so I went back to my "50 tv and it's the same to me.. And other games like FPS bf4 don't have a tremendous amount of input lag so I've concluded its something built into NBA 2ks coding...
gosh i suppose u have a big house! i think i am on 32" inside the game room. i tried on 50" inside the living room and controls were
          ok pre-patch 4. am on xbox1.

          4. If your answer to question# 1 is "yes" then how do you feel the game is playing great if something as important as core movement and reaction time is broken?
frankly, i dont feel reaction time is broken. in what aspect do u feel that way perhaps u can share and put in a video? i am still able to pull off simple crossover moves, post moves, onball and offball defense, block shots, steals etc.
the only complain i have is my cpu defenders are not that "good". i had some instances which the cpu opponent scored on me when i played offball, and onball (the cpu opponent cuts into the paint and my man just lost it). for a moment i was wondering should i play more onball or offball ... i'll post some videos later.

hey, playing against the warriors was extremely fun and challenging. when i saw 30sc pulled off those moves, i was like "damn cpu can do that?". it took me 7 games and scores were close every game.
there was another thread where the poster said playing against lbj felt that a cheat code, and i totally agreed! he is so big and versatile, can drive can pass with goid vision, can post up and that unguardable fadeaway (just like irl). the thing is, he seldom miss in 2k!
the video game has me to "prepare" and ponder on applying the right strategies in order to win. there're so much options out there besides double teaming.
on the other hand, i dislike playing against spurs and clippers. it's hard for me to lose bcos 2k coded such that they put the shortest players on my best player on the team - KD.

i'm excited to play on the eastern team now in a brand new season. 10 min per quarter is good for me. pre-patch 4 i can average 100+ pts with okc. a few games into post-patch 4 and i'm averaging 90+ pts slightly lower.
dont miss the fun! post yor best in-game play at the highlights thread cos i alredy subscribed to it ... Lol

SS/Sim 12 min player. Never played competitive basketball. IRL i'm a basketball analyst/writer & coach in minor/local leagues.

I experienced imput lag and solved it by turning on game mode (Samsung TV).

I'm enjoying the game more than ever. Reaction time is pretty solid in my opinion. No doubt they can improve it in future iterations.

              I don't see the always-mentioned cheating AI.

Manual defense (with no assists) and right stick contests can help you. Assist sliders make your player heavier. I was about to give up. Then i changed my defensive approach and it saved the game.

It takes time to learn how to play defense without assists but at the end of the day i can guarantee you it's a game changer.

Thanks for the response as well Sirio... I have the assist off as well ... I may look for a game mode option on my tv.... But it's a lot to do just get the game to work properly in my opinion ... Key word my opinion... I do coach youth aswell feels good to give back and play pick up ball weekly now.

Every year 2k changes something I can't tel you how many times I've seen the post up button go from left trigger to a button and back to left trigger again.. They are constantly screwing with the controls and that good and bad... Point is I've been playing this title since 2004... And I'm very well verse in the controls... My reaction time maybe quicker than most because I've played basketball my entire life and you must have quick feet and fast reaction as well as thought process and analyzing in a split second to compete on a high level.... I feel like in always ahead of the game controls waiting for the animation to catch up to what my brain and fingers have already process and input on the controller ...

Nevertheless not y'all problem .. It's mine. Y'all enjoy the game I'll play periodically and come back to 2k when they put more focus on core gameplay.. Thx again for the response

The movement offline somehow someway feels heavy laggy and frame drops and stutters happening.

For example whenever you walk the ball half court your team players other than yours run like they are being shot(bullet wise) at in a shooting game, it feels off and then certain animations getting input lag like blocking, stealing etc and then general runing normal running feels like guys glued on the court and then everything backs to normal and what it should be but after a while these stuff occurs again, sometimes they last thru whole game sometimes comes and goes. Sometimes game starts great but in 3rd quarters definitely those issues arrive.

Again it's offline and what you most experience what you think you experience is actually because of the game status offline.

                                1. I do not notice input lag. If it's there, I feel like it's a hyperbole. The players feel heavy, but 2k did try to take things like momentum into consideration. For example, a lot of guys have talked about taking the off ball RS moves out. Over the last week, if you use Turbo and L2 like you would on defense, you actually get more explosive cuts off ball. The key to losing the "heavy" feel is playing and getting used to the foot planting. Foot planting allows for the momentum system, which leads to the sluggish feel. I can't explain the details, but really the Bruce Lee quote: "Don't think; Feel" sums it up.

                                2. I'm somewhere between. My favorite mode is park, however my understanding of how Basketball is played, why plays work, what multiple branched plays do and how they provide the options they do, and how to read offense/defense are way above a "Casual" player.

                                3. 55 inch Vizio, on "Gaming Mode", which cuts a lot of lag out (Most new TV have this feature built in). Once again, I don't feel input lag offline. My proactive playstyle allows me to not care if it exists online. The only lag I get is bandwidth issues, causing frame drops, which is my connection and not coding.

                                4. N/A. I do not feel the core movement is broken, and as such I feel the game plays alright. I have issues(Being able to strip every gather animation or atleast 90% of them, I'm looking at you), but compared to the ridiculous stuff from last year, this game is better. It's still not promoting actual ball, but it does seem like actual basketball has the advantage vs. Cheese.

As for the CPU being cheesy, or hard to deal with....I play the Souls Series/Bloodborne. 2k doesn't even come close in terms of how unforgiving those games are.
