    Re: NBA 2k16 PRO-AM Discussion/Advice Thread

    Here's some advice

6'0-6'3 Outside PG ( with one man fast break , transition finisher , pick pocket , microwave , unfazed , limitless range )

6'2-6'5PG/SG ( same badges as PG)

6'5-6'7 SG - ( Capable of finishing at basket and hitting corner three and cherry picking )

Inside Center 7'3 - no point in a PF here . Break starter, eraser , posterizer , def&off crasher , hustle points
    Outside Center 7'3 - break starter , eraser , def&off crasher , corner specialist , fade ace , posterizer ,

This lineup will get you a lot of wins . Your backcourt must cherry pick while the bigs throw full court passes all game. One center needs to be down low while the other post fades . If a CPU is on you shoot limitless range threes.

I haven't really seen the inside outside 7'3 C duos, is it really that effective?

We play with 6'11 PF and 7'3 C who are both inside players and quite effective with back to basket. The C can hit 15 footers the PF cant do anything in the perimeter.

Very . It takes away the rim protection especially if the other guy can hit the 15 footer. Leads to a lot of backdoor cuts by the wing positions.

Our team was curious so we created a stretch PF, only 6'10 though and my god the difference in play is real. The PF is a 68 overall but it opened up the offense so much

I have a question. I have a 7'0" outside center that I've been working on specifically for Pro-Am. I chose 7' instead of 7'3" for the slight edge in acceleration and lateral quickness.

However, it sounds like everyone prefers 7'3" outside center, are those 3 inches going to be a problem for me? I think I know the answer, but I want to make certain before I restart my center...

Why not have two outside centers and open up the inside completely with spacing?

Truth be told there aren't a lot of good centers . But the 7'3 centers who are skilled and have 99Ovr with 50 badges are almost unstoppable unless you're closer in height .

That could work but you still want a big who can get those put back shots and that 94 dunk rating in case shots aren't falling .

Alright thanks for the reply. I'll restart with 7'3" center.

I am a 6'6 PG that is a playmaker & elite defender. I have maxed out my rating at 88. I know that you are able to get more upgrades by going thru 5 practices in the MyCareer mode. How many upgrades will I be able to get? I see guys rated 99 all of the time. Also, how do you unlock badges?

                  Thanks.

Just a little research would answer all your questions.

You get total of 100 upgrades for your player. 75 you get right away and 25 you can get by practicing.

Badges you have to do specific stuff in game to unlock them. You can easily find a guide on what needs to be done for any badge. GL man the grind is real.

Thanks for the information. I have tried searching three heads to find this stuff out but I haven't had any luck. How many practices does it take to unlock the extra 25 upgrades?

I have a question about this.

Break Starter requires Passing Accuracy 60 and Defensive Rebound 85. That means 14 upgrades into Playmaker and Rebounder.

So I'm trying to figure out what the final result should look like:

Jump Shooter: 20? (What's the point of being outside if you can't shoot?)
                          Insider Scorer: ??
Athlete: 20 (I think this is necessary)
                          Playmaker: 14 for Break Starter.
Rebounder: 14 minimum for Break Starter.
Defense: 18 minimum for Defensive Anchor.

That leaves 14 attributes left over. Is it personal preference past that point?

My instinct is to max out Defense & Rebounding. Then put the remainder into Inside Scorer, I'm hoping most of my shots near the hoop will be dunks anyway. Does that sound like a good plan?

you want your rebounding higher other than that it sounds good. Don't forget you can use practice boosts and VC boost to get break starter (which is how I got it ) so use less as possible on playmaking .

If you get hustle points and acrobat in can help your inside game .

You get 1 attribute upgrade every 5 practices (so 125 total needed).

The best way to do it is to play on Rookie Casual, get at least an 11 point lead by half-time (or later) and then choose "Ask Out" to sim the rest of the game and still earn VC and Practice time.

I'd recommend working on earning badges while you're getting that 11 point lead, which is pretty easy to do on Rookie/Casual.

Those 25 attributes and Badges will help you out a lot in ProAm
