I'm now getting a lot more lame cpu assistance that gives cheap bump animations on defense.

We need the Park flare back. Shooting is fine but bring back the flare for flashy dunks, flashy layups, and flashy dribbles. Speed boosting belongs in Park.

....Are you serious? Speed boosting is not a "Flashy" thing. It's a way people are exploiting a specific animation. It doesn't "Belong" anywhere. If you can't get around a guy without, I'd reassess what you're doing

Hell no lol I'm loving the park now ! Keep it as is . I have no trouble beating my guy off the dribble . My guy can't even speed burst correctly . Just do real dribble moves . There is plenty of flash

Yes, bursting out of a dribble is realistic.

I'm not pumped up on the topic so dont take offense to my quick response here - just happen to see you had given a quick reply yourself.

What's your issue with speed boosting and how much can you tolerate?

I for one do not spam in and out of boosts to create a jumper. I can do thst without a boost. I can also get to the rim without a boost but it's a very dull experience.

Park is the place with boost cards, boost attributes, casual sliders, Park animations for kick and elbow passes and insanity dunk packages you would see in the dunk contests.

By your same measure should these cpu assisted bumps on defense stay while boosting gets nerfed?

Again, I'm not anxious. I will be giving it another go tonight to see if it was just am anomaly experience but one of my teammates could also feel it. It just felt super easy to play on ball defense against moves you would normally judge as threats which made the experience quite dull.

Park is for tricks man. I understand where Sim belongs but Park is for tricks and kicks (causal fun).

What specific animation are you referring to?

I personally don't use Hesi3, None of the Gaurd dribbles, I also don't have any Crawford, Irving, CP3, size ups - I have Kobe escape on one player and don't even speed boost out of it.

As of Friday the dribble handles and explosions felt very watered down and the on ball defense (in Park) felt inappropriately juiced with the bumps.

The lateral movements of ball handlers was noticeably nerfed.

Again though, is there a specific animation you are referring to when you use the term exploit? I already know it feels cheap to see a teammate or opponent get his ankles taken off of a hesitation 3 Stepback or the repeated spamming of a size up. I'm not one of those players.

I enjoy speed boosting in a simulated way as a Pro would or any baller because there is a skill involved in it regarding the timing.

Speed boosting is not the same as launching off the dribble. The animation they use now is The kobe escape. Park is definitely the place for "fancy" things, the problem is speed boosts are an unnatural thing that people who cannot beat people off the dribble use. Fact.

I have no animosity towards you but the fact that you're trying to lump an exploit in with trick passes and self bounce oops tells me that you don't actually understand what allows for speed boosting.

When the game started Launches were explosive. I lost atleast a quarter of my moves when they nerfed launches, but it had to be done to add ball tangibility. Launches are still in the game and represent the "Bursts" out of a dribble that you claim speed boosting represents.

I mean, look no further than who uses the boosts. The left right cheeseballs use them primarily because the old left right dribble goto got nerfed. They use it because they have no idea how to play without trying to ISO hero ball. They can't beat a guy off the dribble naturally, and despite the fact that they will claim they "experiment with every dribble", what they mean is, they look for the most broken way to get an advantage.

Why is there no parity in dribbles among most players? Because no one understands situations. People look for the easiest jumper, easiest dribble, easiest etc. Does this mean every dribble move sucks? No. But not all of them are self explanatory, and not all offer instant results.

TL;DR speed boosting is not meant to work how it does. It's not a fancy trick like you claim it is, it's an exploit and a crutch

Is the teammate grade for my park nerfed or something? Shouldn't guys have more C and D teammate grades just due to leaving assignments and holding the ball to long? I understand people have different play styles, like some people love to be isolation players and those exist in real life, but the park is something else.

This is not to say that people can not isolate but I literally have played with people who hold the ball for over half the shot clock.

I know even great players have deficiencies and it wouldn't make sense for the only way to get a A+ grade is to play perfect, but do you guys think the grading system should be stricter?

Play park all the time. Speaking of which.. And this may be a dumb question, but - to do the skywalker dunk package, do I throw myself alleys of just flashy dunk and hope for the best.

I've tried both strategies repeatedly on my inside C to no avail haha - an tips would be appreciated!

They increased the hold ball too long time(Maybe even took it out) due to the fact that you couldn't ISO at all before without getting a negative penalty. I feel like it should've gotten a 5 second increase. I believe it was 4-5 seconds, now I don't think it exists. Should be about 10 seconds. 10 is more than enough to find a hole or pass it off.

The grades are strict for some things and too lax for others. I finish with A to B usually, but My SG grabs boards and I pump out assists, a few good defensive posessions and it's common to end with an A+ after only dropping 2 points.

Ultimately the problem lies in a few areas. The user base is number 1. Having been told by multiple randoms how "Horrible" I am because I have a coaches wet dream for a stat line, but they dropped 9 points is beyond idiocy. That's not fixable, because it's lack of knowledge in that case, not a dev issue. Maybe an MVP reward for the best stat line? I don't know.

All I do know is that this game tries to teach good basketball but has trouble punishing bad basketball due to the thousands of idiots that tweet at devs for stuff like shooting being bad, etc. 2K cannot afford to not pander to them because $$$, but it's hard to balance to appease a hardcore audience vs. A majority who doesn't know a tooth pick from a pick and roll.

It's funny because I play SG as well and usually have an all around stat line while scoring only 2 points sometimes in a game as well. The teammate grade does reward all around play and I get what you are saying, totally agree with your post. Especially about the part of it being too strict in some areas and lax in the others.

                                Park felt great today.

I was making a topic re the finesse ability and it's back and feeling better. Between that and the shooting and defense: Park feels great!
