Been playing since the patch per normal, but for the first time in my 2k career (dating back to 2k2), I'm getting rather...bored with the game since the patch. I don't know, the game just seems so sluggish now. And since they got rid of the crossover launches as well (NOT the speed boost, there's a big difference), I've kinda just lost the motivation to really finish this year out. I'm mainly a MyCareer and Pro-Am player (SG), btw.

NBA 2K16 Patch #6 Available Now For PlayStation 4 & Xbox One, Patch Notes Inc...
I believe dudes got use to beating people of the dribble with the speed boost that they forgot about counter moves. They are really effective this year in 2k especially after the patch.

Exactly, not everyone loved the cheese but when it's being used against you, you have to learn it yourself and use it against them. Bottom line is that patch 6 has completely ruined this game! I'm not whining, I'm still pretty good at MyPark and I wasn't amazing even with speed boost, but when you can play a game and a guy that just turned on the game can stop you, its ridiculous. The game is slow, and its boring anyone on here saying "oh you're whining, and you can't play cause speed boost is gone" is just a moron. Be true to yourself and you'll realize the park is getting emptier by the day, people are bored there is no challenge anymore, the park WAS NEVER meant to be SIM STYLE basketball, it was meant to be ARCADE STYLE basketball. Hopefully the devs can do it right in 2k17!
We had to suffer all year with with this crap, arcade game play and it's finally back to the way it should be.

They completely ruined the break starter badge. I can't even make simple wide open passes from the paint to half court anymore. They should of toned it down a little or remove the badge altogether.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Patch #6 Available Now For PlayStation 4 & Xbox One, Patch Notes Include
To this day, I think only Jrocc and one or two other people know what I'm talking about when I mention the 'crossover launches.' In every sizeup, there were between 1-3 'break points' where you could break the animation early and do a crossover to the opposite hand that was meant to leave your opponent looking. Unfortunately, it's been replaced by much slower crossovers that either take you completely sideways with no forward momentum, or my favorite, the extremely slow, readable crossover that literally takes you nowhere.
Tbh, if anyone gets broken down off sizeup crossovers anymore, they have to be some of the worst defenders in the game.Comment

You can still do them but there's a slight pause/delay when you break the animation since patch 6 dropped. It's not really that effective anymore since everything has been slowed down. The "Boop Boop" is terrible now smh.
I think there may be more people on 2k15 than 2k16 at this point. Besides Rivet every park I went to was loaded with people and every court had games going on. Even the stage was loaded with folks. It's just a lag fest on 2k15 though. It's almost unplayable at times. After playing on Patch 6 for a few days now I liked the game much better with speed boosting than without. Game seems off without it for some reason.Last edited by Korrupted; 05-11-2016, 09:05 AM.Comment

My 5'10 PG with max speed upgrades and with boast on, now run so slow. Makes no sense i feel like I run like a center, now it's like why even have a shorter player anymore when I run same speed as someone who might have a 6'5 PG. Guess best I can do is move on to another game and hop next year 2k won't ruin a game, guess I can force myself to buy uncharted now.Last edited by KyrieAbuser; 05-11-2016, 09:06 AM.Comment

Hope 2k17 will kill his style of play.

I'm really not getting what all the whining is about. In the PNO mode, I'm still able to get past defenders with size-up and dribble moves...with George Hill nonetheless. Do people really suck that bad where they need to use an exploit to be COMPETITIVE in an arcade mode where you unlock a 1001 badges to increase you maxed out player?Comment

It's hilarious to see everyone taking their ball home! Call me a moron all you like because there was nothing more boring than 2 teams of guards seeing who can speed boost the best for 21 points. If you can't be entertained from swinging it till there's an open shot, or some good defence leading to a reward, then the issue is all yours.Comment

I'm not whining but I'm whining! If a guy whom has just picked up the game can stop you, then that's not the games fault. I have a 6'9 sf with terrible ball handling even though it's maxed, and he's absolutely killing it. Do you know why? Because I never relied on an exploit to be good at the game to begin with. What you're saying without meaning to, is that you can't play the game the way it was supposed to be played.
