No, but simply because i can't decide whether to get physical or digital. Not because of a lack of information.

I always prefer physical but i'm gonna have to work a ton of overtime when the game drops and i'm not sure if i'll be able to make it to the store. *** **** work... i won't even be able to enjoy the game much, after release 2-3 months at 72 hours in 6 days in stead of my usual 40/5 , not cool. Plus of course 2 hours of traffic a day but i digress. Gonna have to buy some vc i guess. /rant

So yeah, probably digital and definitely not the kobe edition.

Each to their own, but replays have to be the single worst reason not to pre-order.

I haven't, mainly because for some stupid reason I can't get a hard copy of the gold legend edition in the UK. I only really play career, so I want to see what that mode is all about, because 16 was a huge let down.

Actually replays are one of the better reasons if not the best reason, and it's not even about "to each their own." Replays falls under the category of presentation. It breathes authenticity to the experience. How could a certain aspect of the game where someone actually loves be "one of the worst" reason not to get the game? It would be a terrible move to buy a product that doesn't offer a feature that you seek.

NFL2k5's halftime experience and post game experience was and still is one of the greatest aspect ever to grace any sports video game. I looked forward to both every single time I played the game. I looked forward to NBA2k14 and NBA2k16's halftime and post game show (or whatever I could see) every single time I played the game. Didn't get NBA2k15 because they essentially removed the halftime show. Yes, that was my reason.

I could say not able to find the special edition release is one of the absolute worst reasons ever in history. I'm sure you'll get the same "my career" mode if you simply purchase the regular edition. Hopefully you're not buying the limited edition because you want the physical and digital goodies; Back in the days, you unlock digital specials when you beat part of the game. Paying for DLC is really one of the worst things to happen to gaming.

Let's completely slash out presentation and see how well the whole experience will be. Let's get rid of Shaq/Ernie/Kenny and the entire halftime and postgame presentation. Take out the commentary presentation aspect, remove all audio net sound, crowd noise, ball bounce audio, etc. Replace the swish sound with glass breaking every single time a basket is made. Have Sesame Street's elmo and big bird do the commentary instead. Simply put all presentation elements on mute.

You know what my inner voice said whenever 2k (or EA or any other company) releases a "special edition"? "Whatevers" and rolled my eyes. But I kept quiet, avoided the thread, because other's might be thrilled about it and I'm happy for them.

With NBA2k17's gold edition, you get a few physical product (Kobe poster, Kobe controller skin, Panini Kobe trading cards) served with a side of in game digital components (i.e. 100,000 virtual currency, Kobe digital hoodie, digital Mitchell & Ness Kobe Jersey and digital XI Kobe shoe, etc). Really, in game digital clothing attire? Spending real money for fake money?

No sweat. The thing is I might simply grab an xbox one along with digital NBA2k17 (because history shows that the halftime and postgame highlight works perfectly fine on the XB1).

Here's another thing with regards to presentation. Despite commentary naturally getting repetitive, I still must keep it on because it breathes authenticity to a TV broadcast. If it's on mute, the whole game playing experience is simply off. It just doesn't feel right. I would rather hear the same line over and over than having it on mute. The same goes with 2k's cam. I can't play with that perspective because it's not authentic to a TV broadcast.

More importantly, couldn't you simply order it from United States Amazon.com? It's available for preorder (I just checked the UK website and unfortunately, you're correct it's not available). I had to import the Japanese baseball game Jikkyou Power Pro from Japan's Amazon website because the game is limited to Japan but still region free. Despite not understanding a lick of Japanese, it's the best baseball game out to date.

Plus, I'm also buying all sports game digital from now on. NBA2k16 was digital. MLB16 was digital. UFC1 was digital. The experience is fantastic. I don't have to worry about switching discs. Whatever mood I'm in, I just scroll to my digital copy. Easy peezy.
