I personally didn't like the euro much this year.. Hopefully they work on it.. This year at least online it was too slow tbh.. And with them making blocks a lot easier it was an easy swat when attempting one.

I hope that the alternative input method as back and away from the rim (either to the right or the left) while driving on the right stick is still an option to allow me to continue to do all my dribble and layup controls on the right stick
Its just you need to know when its effective to do this move and you got no margin for mistake. Combine it with difficult control its not under use by many. But if you get past the learning curve its very powerful.

Me personally enjoying the uniqueness to somebody that learnt it this year in park/pro am and contextual animations can look really nice.

I wish they would take it out because it does way more harm than good. Sick and tired seeing my AI teammates flopped and give up a lay up or a jump shot. It's annoying man.

Are you letting off the turbo button. If not then that's the reason. It's the same for floaters.

Re: NBA 2K17 Basic & Advanced Controls Revealed

Is there off-ball control on offense this year yet? I realize there are "off-ball" controls for playing at the park or whatever, but I'm talking about in a head-to-head NBA game. Specifically like Mike Wang's off-ball controls from NBA Live 10.

I've been waiting for this forever. A few examples of when this really opened things up or when you felt like a baller even without calling a play, or when things ran stagnant went like this (keep in mind I'm going to use 2010 Suns as example)

                      a) You dribbled up court with your PG. I see Grant Hill (midrange shooter) on the wing. I take control of him. Computer takes control of Nash. As Grant Hill, I pressed the "call for a screen" button, waited for the screen, ran to the free-throw line unguarded, pressed "call for a pass", received pass from Nash, shot and swished an unguarded 15-footer.

                      b) I'm sprinting up the court after a defensive rebound on a 2-on-1, or 3-on-1. I quickly take control of Amare or Jason Richardson (leaving the computer to assume control of Nash, pushing the ball-up), run to the hoop, and press the "call for the alley-oop" button, and it's beautiful.

                      c) Nothing's happening and it's stagnant. I take control of Amare on the block, press the "call for a pick button", get loose, press the "call for a pass" button and come in to finish strong, unguarded.

                      d) I'm down by 3 at the end of the game. I take control of Jason Richardson, call for a pick, run to an open spot beyond the arc, call for the ball and you get the idea...

I realize not everyone has experienced this gameplay mechanic, but it was brilliant at making a team of 5-players controlled by one human brain flow like real ball. I'm surprised it hasn't made a full return, especially considering Mike Wang implemented this in his short stint with the "other game".

                      Any word?

Small thing, I like the D-Pad up bringing up the game HUD on both ends of the floor now. Just being able to do that on defense last year felt like they just crammed it in there and ran out of time. Felt incomplete....

Looks like the off ball game will be a lot more in depth. Nice to see consdiering the NBA has gone right away from isos and on ball PnRs all game.

Hopefully, off ball fouls are a thing.

Off ball fouls would be cool but I hope they are not in park or gauntlet. I could see kids intentionally fouling and extending games to pout.

How else would you "recognize" a sick dunk by a teammate in the park in 2K16? LOL

How awesome would it be if you could actually do this in the game.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
