His arms do not look like that in game.
In the context of a VIDEO GAME that is not a one-for-one exact representation of real life I'm good with Durant's model. I'm actually VERY satisfied with his model. I'd much rather error on the slimmer side when it comes to representing NBA players in a video game.

Not whoever was more skilled or made better decisions..
I actually thought 2k16 was better in this regard. Granted I mostly played against the computer so I could be wrong but I felt like if I played smart against a friend I had a better chance of winning. In years past I'd get frustrated losing the friends who use little to no basketball strategy.

Hey no problem, man. To each their own. If you're happy with it, that's awesome. To me, however, he looks like a praying mantis that has taken human form.

In fact, a praying mantis might have more muscle definition in it''s arms than 2K Durant does

You can google this if you think I'm lying, but "praying mantis" has been used to describe KD all throughout his career.

Hahaha I don't think you're lying, I know it to be the truth.

He's been called that because of his tall, very slim and lanky frame. His arms aren't literally as thin as a praying mantis, though. Nor are they as thin as they are in 2K17.

I'm not saying it looks AWFUL, it's clearly the best they can do to give us a representation. But I think it's fair to say his arms are too skinny.

It's just an effect of Durant not wanting to carry the load anymore.

As a person who has been negative about the screenshots, i can say this video gives me hope again.

-KD looks great. yes yes, he may be a little to skinny. But i rather him be skinny than Lebron size. 2K will get it right one year. I can't wait to see Brandon Ingram if KD is this skinny

-LIGHTING. The lighting looks great, i'm so excited to hear that Staples Center is dark again

-The game in general looks more real. The spacing seemed to be pretty well and the shot movements along with the body movements looked good.

Personally I thought they can/have done better - might just be me though....

KD isnt as skinny as people say he is....probably the same crowd that believe Kyie was chubby. It like people still have that rookie frame in their mind. He's obviously still slim, but the Durant in the vid looks third-world hungry.

This is pretty much my stance too. I'd love for every player model and appearance to be a perfect 1 to 1 representation but it's just one of those things that will be an ongoing work in progress. I would imagine that 2k is striving to be as accurate as possible but there are bound to be imperfections.

And really that's just life. If we were all perfect everyone would achieve all there goals and never make mistakes.
